1. Introduction

The AUNE T1SE is a high-fidelity USB Digital-to-Analog Converter (DAC) and headphone amplifier featuring a tube buffer stage. It is designed to enhance your audio experience by providing superior sound quality from various digital sources. This device supports multiple audio formats, including 24-bit/192kHz PCM and DSD64, utilizing an XMOS USB interface and a DSD1793 DAC chip. The integrated Russian EH6922 tube acts as a buffer, adding a characteristic warmth to the audio output.

4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your AUNE T1SE:

1. Power Connection: Ensure the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel is in the OFF position. Connect the provided power adapter to the POWER IN port on the rear panel, then plug the adapter into a suitable wall outlet.
2. Audio Input Connection:
   • For USB DAC Function: Connect one end of the supplied USB cable to the USB Input port on the T1SE and the other end to a USB port on your computer (PC/Mac) or compatible Android device.
   • For Analog Input (Standalone Amplifier): Connect your analog audio source (e.g., CD player) to the AUDIO IN (RCA L/R) ports on the rear panel using appropriate RCA cables.
3. Audio Output Connection:
   • Headphones: Plug your headphones into the 6.5mm headphone output jack on the front panel. If your headphones have a 3.5mm plug, use the provided 6.5mm to 3.5mm adapter.
   • Line Out: Connect the AUDIO OUT (RCA L/R) ports on the rear panel to your active speakers or a separate power amplifier using RCA cables.
4. Initial Power On: Turn the volume knob on the front panel to its minimum (MIN) position. Flip the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel to the ON position. The unit will remain muted for approximately 30 seconds to allow the tube to warm up. A white LED under the tube will illuminate once it is ready.

5. Operating Instructions

Once the T1SE is set up and powered on, follow these instructions for operation:

1. Select Input Source: Use the Input Selector Switch on the front panel to choose between 'USB' for digital audio from your computer/device or 'LINE' for analog audio from the RCA inputs.
2. Adjust Volume: Slowly rotate the Volume Knob clockwise to increase the audio output to your desired listening level. Always start at a low volume to prevent sudden loud sounds.
3. Playback: Begin playing audio from your selected source. For USB input, ensure your computer's audio output is set to the AUNE T1SE.
4. Power Off: When finished, turn the volume knob to the minimum position, then flip the ON/OFF switch on the rear panel to the OFF position.
