3. Setup Instructions

Follow these steps to connect and set up your Audio Fox Wireless TV Speakers.

3.1. Transmitter Placement

Place the transmitter unit near your television or audio source. Ensure it is on a stable surface and within reach of power outlets and audio output ports of your TV.

3.2. Audio Connection to TV

The Audio Fox transmitter supports multiple audio input options. Choose the connection type that is available on your television or audio source.

3.2.1. RCA Stereo Audio Connection

If your TV has red and white RCA audio output jacks (labeled 'Audio Out'), connect an RCA stereo cable (not included) from these jacks on your TV to the corresponding red and white RCA input jacks on the Audio Fox transmitter.

3.2.2. Digital Coaxial Audio Connection

If your TV has a digital coaxial audio output (often labeled 'Coaxial' or 'Digital Out'), connect a digital coaxial cable (not included) from this port on your TV to the digital coaxial input on the Audio Fox transmitter.

3.2.3. Optical Audio Connection

If your TV has an optical digital audio output (often labeled 'Optical Out' or 'TOSLINK'), connect an optical audio cable (not included) from this port on your TV to the optical input on the Audio Fox transmitter. Important: Many televisions require the optical audio output setting to be configured for 'PCM' or 'Stereo' output. Refer to your TV's audio settings menu and select PCM output for compatibility with the Audio Fox system. If your TV does not support PCM output, an external digital-to-analog converter may be required (not included).

3.3. Power Connection

  1. Connect one power supply to the transmitter unit and plug it into a wall outlet.
  2. Connect the second power supply to one of the speaker units. The speakers can also operate on 4 AA batteries (not included) for portable use. Insert 4 AA batteries into each speaker unit if you intend to use them wirelessly without the power supply.
  3. Plug the second power supply into a wall outlet.

3.4. Speaker Placement

The speaker units are designed to mount over the back of most chair headrests. Position the speakers so they are close to your ears for optimal sound delivery. The flexible design allows for adjustment to fit various chair types.

4.3. Voice Enhancement Technology

The speakers incorporate voice-enhancing technology designed to accentuate specific frequencies in human speech. This feature improves speech intelligibility, making dialogue clearer and easier to understand.

4.4. Multiple Speaker Usage

The Audio Fox system supports up to four sets of speakers operating simultaneously in the same room without interference. This allows multiple users to enjoy personalized audio levels.

5. Maintenance

Proper maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your Audio Fox Wireless TV Speakers.

5.1. Cleaning

Wipe the speaker units and transmitter with a soft, dry cloth. Do not use liquid cleaners or abrasive materials, as these can damage the finish or internal components.

5.2. Battery Replacement

If using AA batteries for portable speaker operation, replace all four batteries in each speaker unit when sound quality degrades or the units fail to power on. Ensure correct polarity when inserting new batteries.

5.3. Storage

When not in use for extended periods, store the system in a cool, dry place. If batteries are installed, remove them to prevent leakage.

6. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Audio Fox Wireless TV Speakers, refer to the following common problems and solutions.

  • No Sound:
    • Ensure both the transmitter and speaker units are powered on and their power adapters are securely plugged into working outlets.
    • Verify that the audio cable is correctly connected from your TV's audio output to the transmitter's input.
    • Check your TV's audio output settings. For optical connections, ensure 'PCM' or 'Stereo' output is selected.
    • Increase the volume on both the speaker units and your television.
    • If using batteries, ensure they are fresh and correctly inserted.
  • Interference or Static:
    • Ensure the transmitter is not placed too close to other electronic devices that may cause interference.
    • Check for other RF devices operating on similar frequencies in the vicinity.
    • Verify all connections are secure.
  • Speakers Not Staying on Chair:
    • Adjust the flexible arms of the speakers to better grip the chair's headrest.
    • For chairs with slick surfaces (e.g., leather), consider using a non-slip fabric cover on the headrest to provide better friction.
  • No Audio with Apple TV:
    • If using Apple TV as your source, navigate to its settings: Settings > Audio & Video > Audio. Ensure the audio output is set to Stereo, not Dolby or other surround sound formats.
