The Sharp R200WW is a compact 20-liter solo microwave designed for heating, cooking, and defrosting various food items with 800 watts of power and five adjustable power levels.

2. Important Safety Instructions

  • Read all instructions before using the appliance.
  • Do not operate the microwave if the door or door seals are damaged. Contact qualified service personnel for repair.

4. Setup

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the microwave oven and all packing materials. Check for any damage. Do not operate if damaged.
  2. Placement: Place the microwave on a flat, stable surface strong enough to hold its weight. Ensure there is adequate ventilation space: at least 20 cm (8 inches) above, 10 cm (4 inches) at the rear, and 5 cm (2 inches) on each side. Do not place it near heat sources or in a damp environment.
  3. Turntable Installation:
    • Place the roller ring in the center of the oven cavity floor.
    • Position the glass turntable plate securely on top of the roller ring. Ensure it sits correctly in the center hub.
  4. Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a grounded electrical outlet. Ensure the voltage matches the specifications of your microwave.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Basic Microwave Cooking

  1. Place food in a microwave-safe container on the glass turntable.
  2. Close the microwave door securely.
  3. Turn the Power Level Dial (upper dial) to select the desired power setting (e.g., 800W for high power).
  4. Turn the Timer Dial (lower dial) to set the desired cooking time (0-35 minutes). The microwave will start automatically once the timer is set.
  5. When the set time expires, the microwave will automatically stop and emit an audible signal.
  6. Carefully remove the food. Use oven mitts as the container and food may be hot.

5.2 Defrosting

The defrost function is ideal for thawing frozen foods.

  1. Place the frozen food on the glass turntable.
  2. Close the microwave door.
  3. Turn the Power Level Dial (upper dial) to the "Defrost" setting (snowflake icon).
  4. Turn the Timer Dial (lower dial) to select the approximate weight of the food (e.g., 0.2kg to 1.0kg). The microwave will automatically adjust the defrost time based on the selected weight.
  5. During defrosting, it may be necessary to turn the food over periodically to ensure even thawing.
  6. When the set time expires, the microwave will stop. Remove the food and allow it to stand for a few minutes to complete thawing.

5.3 Stopping Operation

  • To pause cooking, open the microwave door. Close the door to resume.
  • To stop cooking completely before the timer expires, turn the Timer Dial back to "0".

Regular cleaning helps maintain the performance and longevity of your microwave oven.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the microwave from the power outlet.

  • Door Seals: Keep the door seals clean to ensure proper closure and efficient operation.
