Troubleshooting
If your heater is not operating correctly, consult the following common issues:
- Heater does not turn on:
- Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working 120V outlet.
- Check if the household circuit breaker has tripped.
- Verify the power button is pressed and a heat setting is selected.
- Heater turns off unexpectedly:
- The Tip-Over Switch may have been activated. Ensure the heater is on a stable, level surface.
- The Overheat Protection may have been activated. This occurs if the heater becomes too hot. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool for 30 minutes, and ensure there are no obstructions blocking the air intake or exhaust grilles.
- The timer may have reached its set duration.
- Heater is not heating the room sufficiently:
- Ensure the desired temperature setting is higher than the current room temperature.
- Check that the heater is on the High heat setting if maximum warmth is desired.
- Verify that the room size is within the recommended heating coverage (up to 250-300 sq ft).
- Ensure doors and windows are closed to prevent heat loss.
