1. Introduction

4. Setup and Installation

The gate can be installed using two methods: pressure mounting or hardware mounting.

4.1. Pressure-Mounted Installation (Doorways, Bottom of Stairs)

1. Prepare the Opening: Ensure the surface where the gate will be installed is clean, dry, and structurally sound. The gate fits openings between 28 and 42 inches wide.
2. Adjust Gate Width: Hold the gate in the desired opening. Press the button on the side of the handle and pull the handle up to the double arrows to unlock the sliding mechanism. Adjust the gate panels to approximately fit the width of your opening.
3. Position Wall Cups: Place the four included wall cups against the wall or door frame where the gate will make contact. These provide extra stability and protect surfaces.

1. Mark Mounting Points: Position the gate in the desired opening. Use a pencil to mark the locations for the mounting hardware on both sides of the opening.
2. Install Mounting Hardware: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations. Secure the mounting brackets (included in the hardware kit) to the wall or banister using the provided screws and anchors.
3. Attach Gate: Align the gate with the installed mounting brackets and securely attach it. Ensure the gate swings freely and latches properly.

5.1. Opening the Gate

To open the gate, use the convenient one-hand operation: press the top-release handle and lift the gate to disengage the latch. The gate will then swing open.
