4. Setup Guide

4.1. Charging the Quadcopter Battery

  1. Connect the Li-Po battery to the USB charging cable.
  2. Plug the USB charging cable into a USB power source (e.g., computer USB port, USB wall adapter).
  3. The indicator light on the USB charger will illuminate during charging and turn off (or change color) when charging is complete.
  4. Charging typically takes approximately 30-60 minutes. Do not overcharge.

4.2. Installing Transmitter Batteries

  1. Open the battery compartment on the back of the transmitter.
  2. Insert 4x AA batteries (not included) according to the polarity markings (+/-).
  3. Close the battery compartment securely.

4.3. Binding the Quadcopter and Transmitter

The binding process establishes a connection between the quadcopter and its transmitter.

  1. Ensure the quadcopter battery is fully charged and disconnected.
  2. Turn on the transmitter. The indicator light on the transmitter will flash.
  3. Connect the charged battery to the quadcopter. Place the quadcopter on a flat, level surface. The quadcopter's LED lights will flash.
  4. Push the throttle stick (left stick) all the way up, then pull it all the way down.
  5. The transmitter will emit a "beep" sound, and the quadcopter's LED lights will become solid, indicating successful binding.
  6. If binding fails, turn off both the quadcopter and transmitter, then repeat the steps.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1. Basic Controls

Familiarize yourself with the transmitter controls:

  • Left Stick (Throttle/Rudder):
    • Push up/down: Controls altitude (throttle).
    • Push left/right: Controls rotation (rudder).
  • Right Stick (Elevator/Aileron):
    • Push up/down: Controls forward/backward movement (elevator).
    • Push left/right: Controls left/right sideways movement (aileron).
  • Trim Buttons: Used to fine-tune the quadcopter's stability if it drifts in any direction during hover. Adjust in small increments.

5.2. Take-off and Landing

  1. Place the quadcopter on a flat, level surface.
  2. Slowly push the throttle stick up to lift off. Maintain a steady hover.
  3. To land, slowly pull the throttle stick down until the quadcopter gently touches the ground. Cut the throttle completely once landed.

5.3. Performing Acrobatics and Flips

The V939 is capable of performing 360-degree flips. Ensure sufficient altitude (at least 3 meters) before attempting flips.

  1. Fly the quadcopter to a stable hover at a safe height.
  2. Press the flip button (refer to your transmitter diagram for location, typically a shoulder button).
  3. Immediately push the right stick in the desired flip direction (forward, backward, left, or right).
  4. The quadcopter will perform a flip. Release the stick to regain stable flight.

5.4. Night Flying with LED Lights

The V939 is equipped with LED lights, allowing for visibility during low-light conditions or night flying. Ensure you still have a clear line of sight and are flying in a safe, open area.

6. Maintenance

6.1. Propeller Replacement

If a propeller is damaged, replace it with a spare from the included set. Note the orientation of the propellers:

  • There are two types of propellers: A and B.
  • Ensure you match the correct propeller type to its corresponding motor arm (usually marked on the arm or propeller). Incorrect installation will prevent proper flight.
  • Gently pull off the damaged propeller and push on the new one, ensuring it is seated firmly.

6.2. Battery Care and Storage

  • Always disconnect the battery from the quadcopter after use.
  • Store batteries in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
  • For long-term storage, charge the battery to approximately 50% capacity.

6.3. Cleaning

Use a soft, dry cloth to clean the quadcopter. Avoid using water or solvents, as these can damage the electronics.
