Setup
1. Charging the Battery
Insert the Battery Pack NB-5L into the Battery Charger CB-2LX. Plug the charger into a power outlet. The charging indicator lamp will illuminate. Once charging is complete, the lamp will change color or turn off, depending on the charger model. A full charge typically takes approximately 2 hours.
2. Inserting the Battery and SD Card
- Open the battery/card compartment cover on the bottom of the camera.
- Insert the charged Battery Pack NB-5L into the compartment, ensuring the correct orientation. Push it in until it clicks into place.
- Insert the 8GB SD Memory Card into the card slot with the label facing the front of the camera. Push it in until it clicks.
- Close the compartment cover securely.
3. Attaching the Wrist Strap
Thread the included Wrist Strap WS-DC11 through the strap mount on the camera body. Secure it firmly to prevent accidental drops.
4. Initial Settings
Upon first power-on, the camera will prompt you to set the date, time, and time zone. Use the camera's controls to navigate and confirm these settings.
