Safety Information

- Always use the recommended size mattress or mattress support, or both, to help prevent the likelihood of entrapment or falls.
- The top bunk is not suitable for children under 6 years of age.
- Periodically check and ensure that the guardrail, ladder, and other components are in their proper position, free from damage, and that all connectors are tight.
- Do not allow children to play on or under the bunk bed.
- Prohibit more than one person on the upper bunk.
- Always use the ladder for entering and exiting the upper bunk.
- Do not attach or hang items to any part of the bunk bed that are not designed for use with the bed; for example, but not limited to, hooks, belts, and jump ropes.

Setup and Assembly
Tools Required:
- Phillips Head Screwdriver (not included)
- Allen Wrench (usually included with hardware)
Component Checklist:
Before assembly, ensure all parts are present and undamaged. Refer to the included hardware pack for specific component identification.
- Headboards and Footboards (for upper and lower bunks)
- Side Rails (for upper and lower bunks)
- Ladder

- Trundle Unit with Drawers
- All necessary hardware (bolts, nuts, washers, screws, dowels)
Assembly Steps:
- Prepare the Area: Clear a spacious area for assembly. It is recommended to assemble the bed with at least two adults.
- Assemble the Lower Bunk: Attach the side rails to the headboard and footboard of the lower bunk using the provided hardware. Ensure all connections are secure but do not fully tighten until the frame is complete.
- Install Lower Bunk Slats: Place the slat kit onto the support ledges of the lower bunk side rails. Secure the slats as per the instructions in your hardware pack.
- Assemble the Upper Bunk: Repeat step 2 for the upper bunk frame.
- Install Upper Bunk Slats: Place the slat kit onto the support ledges of the upper bunk side rails. Secure the slats.
- Attach Guardrails: Securely attach the guardrails to the upper bunk frame as indicated in the diagrams.
- Attach Ladder: Securely attach the ladder to the designated side of the bunk bed. Ensure it is firmly in place and does not wobble.
- Assemble Trundle Unit: Follow the separate instructions for assembling the trundle unit and its three storage drawers. Once assembled, slide the trundle unit under the lower bunk.
- Final Tightening: Once the entire structure is assembled, go back and fully tighten all bolts and screws. Do not overtighten.

Operating Instructions
Using the Bunk Bed:
- Upper Bunk Access: Always use the provided ladder to safely access and exit the upper bunk. Ensure the ladder is securely attached before use.
- Mattress Placement: Place a standard twin-size mattress on both the upper and lower bunk slat systems. For the upper bunk, ensure the mattress thickness does not exceed the height of the guardrails, leaving at least 5 inches from the top of the guardrail to the top of the mattress.
Using the Trundle Unit:
- Pulling Out the Trundle: Gently pull the trundle unit from under the lower bunk using the handles on the drawers. The unit is on casters for easy movement.
- Storage Drawers: The trundle unit features three spacious drawers for convenient storage of bedding, toys, or other items. Pull the drawer handles to open.
- Trundle Mattress: A twin-size mattress can be placed on the trundle for an additional sleeping space. Ensure the mattress fits within the trundle frame.
- Storing the Trundle: Push the trundle unit back under the lower bunk when not in use to save space.

Separating into Two Twin Beds:
This bunk bed is designed to separate into two independent twin beds. To do so:
- Remove Mattresses and Bedding: Clear both bunks of mattresses and bedding.
- Disassemble Ladder and Guardrails: Carefully remove the ladder and guardrails from the upper bunk.
- Separate Bunks: With the help of another adult, carefully lift the upper bunk off the lower bunk. This may require unscrewing connecting pins or bolts, if applicable (refer to your specific assembly diagram).
- Reconfigure: The two frames can now be used as individual twin beds. The trundle unit will remain with the lower bed frame.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe surfaces with a clean, damp cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners, as they may damage the finish. For best results, follow the "Dry Clean Only" product care instructions provided by the manufacturer.
- Hardware Check: Periodically (e.g., every 3-6 months) check all bolts, screws, and connections to ensure they are tight. Retighten if necessary, but do not overtighten.
- Structural Inspection: Inspect the wood frame, slats, ladder, and guardrails for any signs of wear, cracks, or damage. If any damage is found, discontinue use and contact customer support for replacement parts or advice.
- Environmental Conditions: Avoid placing the bed in direct sunlight or near heat sources, as this can cause the wood to dry out, crack, or warp. Maintain a stable room temperature and humidity.
