Maintenance
Cleaning
To clean your keypad, gently wipe the surface with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water or a mild, non-abrasive cleaner. Avoid using harsh chemicals or excessive moisture, which can damage the device.
Battery Replacement
When the 'Bat.' indicator on the LCD screen appears or the keypad's performance degrades, it's time to replace the batteries. Follow the battery installation steps outlined in the Setup section.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Solution |
|---|---|
| Keypad does not power on. | Ensure the ON/OFF switch is in the 'ON' position. Check if the AAA batteries are correctly installed and not depleted. Replace batteries if necessary. |
| Cannot connect via Bluetooth. | Ensure the keypad is in pairing mode (Bluetooth indicator flashing). Turn off and on your computer's Bluetooth. Remove previous pairings and try re-pairing. Ensure the Mac/PC switch is set correctly. |
| Keypad frequently disconnects. | Ensure the keypad is within range of your computer. Check for interference from other wireless devices. Re-pair the device if disconnections persist. Some operating systems may require the keypad to be 'woken up' by pressing a key after a period of inactivity. |
| Keys are not responding or input is delayed. | Check battery level. Ensure the keypad is properly connected via Bluetooth. If in calculator mode, ensure you are not expecting input on the computer. |
| Calculator display is blank or incorrect. | Check battery level. Press the 'wake ce/ac' button to clear any previous calculations. If the issue persists, try removing and reinserting the batteries. |
