1. Introduction
The AT&T Sierra Wireless Mobile Hotspot Elevate 4G is a portable device designed to provide high-speed internet access to multiple Wi-Fi enabled devices. It allows users to connect up to five devices simultaneously, leveraging 4G LTE network speeds.

2. Product Features
The Elevate 4G Mobile Hotspot offers several features designed for convenience and connectivity:
- High-Speed Connectivity: Supports 4G LTE for fast internet access.

3. Setup
3.1 Inserting the SIM Card and Battery
- Ensure the device is powered off.
- Remove the back cover of the device. Locate the small notch on the side or bottom edge of the cover to gently pry it open.
- Insert your AT&T SIM card into the designated SIM card slot. Ensure the gold contacts on the SIM card face downwards and the notched corner aligns with the slot.
- Insert the 1800 mAh Lithium-Ion battery into the battery compartment, aligning the gold contacts on the battery with the contacts in the device.
- Replace the back cover, pressing firmly until it clicks into place.

3.2 Charging the Device
- Connect the small end of the USB charging cable to the micro-USB port on the side of the Elevate 4G device.
- Connect the larger end of the USB cable to the AC power adapter.
- Plug the AC power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
- The LCD screen will indicate charging status. Allow the device to fully charge before first use.

3.3 Powering On/Off
- To power on, press and hold the power button located on the side of the device until the LCD screen illuminates.
- To power off, press and hold the power button until the device shuts down.

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Connecting Devices to the Hotspot
- Ensure the Elevate 4G Hotspot is powered on and has an active internet connection (indicated by the signal strength icon on the LCD).
- On your Wi-Fi enabled device (laptop, tablet, smartphone), open the Wi-Fi settings.
- Scan for available Wi-Fi networks. The hotspot's network name (SSID) will typically be displayed on the device's LCD screen.
- Select the hotspot's SSID from the list of available networks.
- Enter the Wi-Fi password (security key) when prompted. The password is also displayed on the hotspot's LCD screen.
- Once connected, your device will have internet access through the hotspot.
4.2 Understanding the LCD Screen
The LCD screen provides real-time status updates:
- Signal Strength: Bars indicating the strength of the cellular network signal.
- Battery Indicator: Shows the current battery charge level.
- Data Usage: May display current data consumption (check device settings for full details).
- Connected Devices: Number of devices currently connected to the hotspot.
- Network Name (SSID): The name of your Wi-Fi network.
- Password (Security Key): The password required to connect to the Wi-Fi network.
4.3 Accessing Device Settings (Web Interface)
For advanced settings and management, you can access the hotspot's web interface:
- Connect a device (e.g., laptop) to the Elevate 4G Hotspot via Wi-Fi.
- Open a web browser (e.g., Chrome, Firefox, Edge).
- In the address bar, type the default IP address for the hotspot (commonly
192.168.1.1oratt.elevate) and press Enter. Refer to your device's LCD screen or documentation for the exact address. - Enter the administrator username and password when prompted. The default credentials are often found on a sticker inside the battery compartment or on the device packaging.
- From the web interface, you can manage Wi-Fi settings, view data usage, update firmware, and configure other network options.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Care
- To maximize battery lifespan, avoid extreme temperatures.
- Charge the battery regularly and avoid letting it fully discharge frequently.
- If the device will not be used for an extended period, store it with a partial charge (around 50%) and remove the battery if possible.
- Use only the original or certified compatible chargers and batteries.
5.2 Cleaning the Device
- Gently wipe the device with a soft, dry, lint-free cloth.
- Do not use liquid cleaners, aerosols, or harsh chemicals.
- Keep the device free from dust and debris, especially around ports and vents.
