5. Setup
5.1 Powering the Device
The WT 519 can be powered by the included power adapter or by batteries (not included).
- Using the Power Adapter: Connect the power adapter to the DC input port on the side of the clock and plug it into a wall outlet. The display will light up, and the projection will activate.
- Using Batteries: Insert 2x AA Mignon LR06 batteries into the battery compartment, observing the correct polarity (+/-). Batteries provide backup power and allow for portable use, but the projection feature may be limited or require manual activation to conserve battery life.
5.2 Initial Time Synchronization (Radio Control)
Upon first power-up, the clock will automatically attempt to receive the radio-controlled time signal (DCF-77). This process may take several minutes. Place the clock near a window and away from electronic devices for optimal reception.
- A signal icon will flash during reception and become solid once synchronized.
- If reception fails, the clock will operate in manual mode.
5.3 Manual Time and Date Setting
If radio reception is unavailable or you prefer manual setting:
- Press and hold the SET button until the time display flashes.
- Use the ADJUST button to change the flashing value (e.g., hour, minute).
- Press SET again to confirm and move to the next setting (e.g., year, month, day, 12/24-hour format, Celsius/Fahrenheit).
- Repeat steps 2 and 3 until all settings are configured. Press SET one last time to exit the setting mode.
6. Operating
6.1 Display Modes

- Press and hold the SET button until the alarm time flashes.

- At any other time, press this button to temporarily illuminate the LCD backlight for better visibility.
6.4 Projection Adjustment
The projection feature displays the time and temperature on a surface. The projection is continuously active when the device is powered by the AC adapter.
- Projection Angle: Rotate the projection lens on the right side of the unit to adjust the angle of the projected image.
- Focus: Use the small focus wheel near the projection lens to sharpen the projected image.
- Image Rotation: Some models allow for 180-degree rotation of the projected image. Refer to the specific button (often combined with the LIGHT button) for this function. You may need to press the LIGHT button first, then immediately the rotation button.
6.5 Temperature Unit Selection
To switch between Celsius (°C) and Fahrenheit (°F) for temperature display, press the ADJUST button while in normal time display mode (or as indicated in the manual for specific models, sometimes a dedicated C/F button exists).
7. Maintenance
7.1 Cleaning
Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents, as they may damage the surface.
7.2 Battery Replacement
When the low battery indicator appears on the display, replace the 2x AA batteries in the compartment. Ensure correct polarity.
8. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your WT 519, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause / Solution |
|---|---|
| No display / Unit not turning on | Check power adapter connection. Ensure batteries are inserted correctly and are not depleted. |
| Radio-controlled time not synchronizing | The signal may be weak due to environmental factors (e.g., distance from transmitter, mountains, buildings, electronic interference). Try relocating the clock near a window and away from other electronics. Initiate manual reception by pressing the RECEIVE button. |
| Projection is blurry | Adjust the focus wheel near the projection lens. Ensure the projection surface is within the optimal range. |
| Projection is upside down or sideways | Use the image rotation function (refer to section 6.4) to orient the projection correctly. |
