3.1 Pre-Installation Checks

4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Initial Setup: Setting the Master Passcode
Upon first power-up, you must set a Master Passcode. This code is used for programming other user codes and settings.
- Open the battery cover on the interior unit.
- Press the [Registration] button.
- On the exterior touchscreen, enter your desired 4-12 digit Master Passcode, then press the [*] button.
- Repeat the Master Passcode and press [*] again to confirm.

Automatic Locking:
The SHS-1321 features an automatic locking function. Once the door is closed, the deadbolt will extend automatically after a few seconds, securing the door.

Manual Locking (from inside):
Turn the manual knob on the interior unit to lock or unlock the door at any time.
5. Maintenance
5.1 Battery Replacement
The lock operates on AA batteries. When the battery level is low, the lock will emit a warning sound or light. Replace all batteries promptly to avoid operational issues.
- Open the battery cover on the interior unit.
- Remove the old batteries.
- Insert new AA alkaline batteries, ensuring correct polarity.
- Close the battery cover.
Note: The lock retains programmed passcodes and RFID information during battery replacement.
5.2 Emergency Power Supply
