1. Product Overview

The DYMO LabelManager 280 is a rechargeable, portable label maker designed for efficient organization in both home and office environments. It features a large graphical display, a familiar QWERTY keyboard for quick text entry, and one-touch fast-formatting keys. 2. Setup

2.1. Battery Installation and Charging

  1. Install the Rechargeable Battery: Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device. Insert the included Lithium Polymer battery pack, ensuring correct polarity. Close the cover securely.
  2. Charge the Device: Connect the included AC adapter to the label maker and then to a power outlet. Charge the device for approximately 3 hours before initial use.
  3. Important Note: For optimal battery life and safety, avoid using the label maker while it is connected to the charger. If the device will not be used for an extended period, it is recommended to remove the battery pack to prevent parasitic drain.

2.2. Label Tape Cartridge Installation

  1. Open the Tape Compartment: Locate the tape compartment cover on the back of the label maker and open it.
  2. Insert Cartridge: Insert a DYMO D1 label tape cartridge into the compartment. Ensure the tape is properly aligned with the guides and clicks into place.
  3. Close Compartment: Close the tape compartment cover securely.
