4. Setup
4.1 Battery Installation
The telephone requires 2 AAA batteries (included) for the LCD display and memory functions. While the phone can operate without batteries for basic call functions, battery installation is recommended for full feature access.
- Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the telephone base.
- Open the battery compartment cover.
- Insert 2 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
- Close the battery compartment cover securely.
4.2 Connecting the Telephone Lines
This telephone supports two independent telephone lines.
- Connect one end of the first line cord to the LINE 1 jack on the back of the telephone base.
- Connect the other end of the first line cord to your telephone wall jack for Line 1.
- If using a second line, connect one end of the second line cord (not included) to the LINE 2/DATA jack on the back of the telephone base.
- Connect the other end of the second line cord to your telephone wall jack for Line 2.

4.3 Handset Connection
Connect the coiled handset cord to the handset jack on the side of the telephone base and to the handset itself.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Making and Receiving Calls
- To make a call: Lift the handset or press the SP-PHONE button for speakerphone. Select the desired line (LINE 1 or LINE 2) if not already selected. Dial the number.
- To receive a call: Lift the handset or press the SP-PHONE button when the phone rings.
- To end a call: Place the handset back on the cradle or press the SP-PHONE button again if using speakerphone.
5.2 Hands-Free Speakerphone
The integrated speakerphone allows for hands-free communication.
- Press the SP-PHONE button to activate the speakerphone during a call or to dial hands-free.
- Adjust the speaker volume using the VOLUME buttons.
- To switch back to the handset, simply lift the handset.

5.3 Two-Line Operation
The telephone can manage two separate incoming lines.
- Press LINE 1 to use the first telephone line.
- Press LINE 2/DATA to use the second telephone line.
- To switch between lines during a call, press the button for the other line. The current call will be put on hold.

5.4 3-Way Conference Call
Conduct a three-way conversation using both lines.
- Establish a call on Line 1.
- Press the HOLD button to put the first call on hold.
- Press the LINE 2/DATA button and dial the second party.
- Once connected with the second party, press the CONF (Conference) button to join all three parties.
5.5 Speed Dialing (10-Station)
Store and dial frequently used numbers with fewer button presses.
- To store a number: Refer to the detailed programming instructions in the full user guide for your specific model. Generally, this involves pressing a PROGRAM button, entering the memory location (0-9), entering the phone number, and then pressing PROGRAM again.
- To dial a stored number: Lift the handset or press SP-PHONE, then press the AUTO/LOWER button followed by the single digit (0-9) corresponding to the stored number.

5.6 One-Touch Dialing (20-Station)
Quickly dial pre-programmed numbers using dedicated one-touch buttons.
- To store a number: Consult the full user guide for programming steps. This typically involves pressing PROGRAM, then one of the 20 one-touch dial buttons, entering the number, and pressing PROGRAM again.
- To dial a stored number: Lift the handset or press SP-PHONE, then press the desired one-touch dial button.

5.7 LCD Display Features
The 16-digit LCD display provides useful information:
- Time Display: Shows the current time.
