Follow these steps to set up your Panasonic KX-TSC62SXB telephone:

  1. Connect the Handset: Plug the coiled cord from the handset into the designated jack on the base unit.
  2. Connect the Line Cord: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the LINE jack on the base unit and the other end into your wall telephone jack.
  3. Battery Installation (for display functions): The telephone includes a Lithium Polymer battery. Install it in the designated battery compartment, typically located on the underside of the base unit, following the polarity indicators. This battery powers the display for features like Caller ID and time/date display.

To use the speakerphone, press the SP-PHONE button during a call. Press it again to switch back to the handset or to end the call.

4.3 Caller ID and Call Log

The telephone stores up to 30 incoming call records. When a call is received, the caller's number (and name, if available) will be displayed.

The telephone stores the last 5 dialed numbers. Press the REDIAL button to view and redial these numbers.

During a call, press the MUTE button to temporarily silence your microphone. The other party will not hear you. Press MUTE again to resume speaking.
