  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove the kettle and all accessories from the packaging. Dispose of packaging materials responsibly.
  2. First Use Cleaning: Before first use, fill the kettle with water to the MAX mark and boil. Discard this water. Repeat this process two to three times to remove any manufacturing residues.
  3. Positioning the Power Base: Place the power base on a dry, flat, stable, and heat-resistant surface. Ensure the power cord (0.75 meters) is not dangling where it can be tripped over.
  4. Connecting to Power: Plug the power base into a suitable wall outlet.

5. Operating Instructions

  1. Filling the Kettle: Open the lid and fill the kettle with the desired amount of fresh water. Do not fill below the MIN mark or above the MAX mark. Overfilling may cause boiling water to spill out.
  2. Placing on Base: Place the kettle firmly onto the power base.
  3. Switching On: Press the On/Off switch downwards. The indicator light will illuminate, indicating that the kettle is heating.
  4. Automatic Shut-off: The kettle will automatically switch off once the water has boiled. The indicator light will turn off.
  5. Manual Shut-off: You can manually switch off the kettle at any time by pushing the On/Off switch upwards.
  6. Pouring: Carefully lift the kettle from the base and pour the hot water. Be cautious of steam escaping from the spout.
  7. Boil-Dry Protection: The kettle is equipped with boil-dry protection. If the kettle is accidentally switched on without sufficient water, it will automatically switch off. Allow the kettle to cool down for a few minutes before refilling with water.

6. Cleaning and Maintenance

Regular cleaning and maintenance will prolong the life of your WMF STELIO Electric Kettle.

  • Before Cleaning: Always unplug the kettle from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  • Exterior Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the kettle with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads. The product care instructions specify "Wipe clean, Hand wash".
  • Interior Cleaning (Descaling): Limescale buildup can affect performance. Descale regularly, especially in hard water areas.
    • Use a commercial descaling solution suitable for kettles, following the product's instructions.
    • Alternatively, you can use a mixture of white vinegar and water (1 part vinegar to 2 parts water). Fill the kettle with the solution and let it stand for an hour, or boil if the limescale is severe.
    • After descaling, empty the kettle and rinse thoroughly several times with fresh water to remove any residue.
  • Filter Cleaning: The removable limescale filter can be rinsed under running water. If heavily soiled, gently brush it with a soft brush.
  • Storage: When not in use, store the kettle and its base in a dry place. The power cord can be wrapped around the cord storage facility under the base.
