4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Loading Food onto the Rotisserie Spit
- Prepare your food (e.g., chicken, roast) by seasoning and trussing it if necessary to ensure even cooking and prevent parts from dragging.
- Carefully slide the food onto the rotisserie spit, ensuring it is centered and securely fastened with the provided food ties or forks (if applicable).
- Insert the loaded rotisserie spit into the designated slots inside the oven. Ensure it is properly seated for rotation.
4.2 Using the Multi-Purpose Basket
For smaller items like fish fillets, vegetables, or sausages, use the multi-purpose basket.
- Place the food evenly inside the multi-purpose basket.
- Securely close the basket.
- Insert the loaded basket into the rotisserie mechanism, ensuring it is properly engaged for rotation.

4.3 Setting Cooking Functions and Timer
The Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven features three simple cooking settings and an adjustable timer.

Figure 4.2: Understanding the 3-Way Function.
- Normal Rotation (Roast): This is the standard rotisserie setting. The heating element will be active, and the spit/basket will continuously rotate for even cooking and browning.
- Sear: This setting pauses the rotation, allowing the food to remain stationary in front of the heating element for direct searing and browning. Use this for crispier skin or a more intense sear. Monitor closely to prevent burning.
- No Heat Rotation: This setting rotates the food without activating the heating element. It is ideal for keeping cooked food warm and distributing juices evenly before serving.
Timer: Turn the analog timer dial to set the desired cooking duration, up to 3 hours. The oven will automatically shut off when the set time expires.
After setting the timer and selecting the desired function, the oven will begin operation. The indicator light will illuminate when the unit is active.
4.4 Carving Cooked Food
Once cooking is complete, carefully remove the hot spit or basket using the provided oven gloves. Place the spit onto the carving platform for stable and easy carving.
