1. Important Safety Information

Please read all instructions carefully before using the Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven. Failure to follow these instructions may result in electric shock, fire, or serious injury.

2. Package Contents

Your Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven package includes the following components:

3. Setup

  1. Unpack the Unit: Carefully remove all packaging materials and accessories from the box. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
  2. Clean Components: Before first use, wash the rotisserie spit, multi-purpose basket, carving platform, and removable drip tray in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely. Wipe the interior and exterior of the oven with a damp cloth.
  3. Position the Oven: Place the rotisserie oven on a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface, ensuring adequate clearance (at least 6 inches) from walls and other appliances for proper ventilation.
  4. Insert Drip Tray: Slide the removable drip tray into the bottom of the oven. This tray collects fats and juices during cooking for easy cleanup.
  5. Familiarize with Controls: Locate the analog timer and the 3-way function switch on the side of the unit.

4. Operating Instructions

4.1 Loading Food onto the Rotisserie Spit

  1. Prepare your food (e.g., chicken, roast) by seasoning and trussing it if necessary to ensure even cooking and prevent parts from dragging.
  2. Carefully slide the food onto the rotisserie spit, ensuring it is centered and securely fastened with the provided food ties or forks (if applicable).
  3. Insert the loaded rotisserie spit into the designated slots inside the oven. Ensure it is properly seated for rotation.

4.2 Using the Multi-Purpose Basket

For smaller items like fish fillets, vegetables, or sausages, use the multi-purpose basket.

  1. Place the food evenly inside the multi-purpose basket.
  2. Securely close the basket.
  3. Insert the loaded basket into the rotisserie mechanism, ensuring it is properly engaged for rotation.

4.3 Setting Cooking Functions and Timer

The Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven features three simple cooking settings and an adjustable timer.

Timer: Turn the analog timer dial to set the desired cooking duration, up to 3 hours. The oven will automatically shut off when the set time expires.

After setting the timer and selecting the desired function, the oven will begin operation. The indicator light will illuminate when the unit is active.

4.4 Carving Cooked Food

Once cooking is complete, carefully remove the hot spit or basket using the provided oven gloves. Place the spit onto the carving platform for stable and easy carving.

5. Cooking Guide

The following guide provides approximate cooking times. Actual times may vary based on food size, starting temperature, and desired doneness. Always use a meat thermometer to ensure food reaches safe internal temperatures.

7. Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Ronco Showtime Rotisserie Oven, refer to the following common problems and solutions:
