2. Safety Information

4. Setup
- Unpack the Scale: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Retain packaging for future storage or transport.
- Install Batteries: Open the battery compartment on the underside of the display unit. Insert the 4 AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity. Close the compartment securely.
- Connect Display Unit: Plug the coiled cable from the weighing platform into the corresponding port on the remote display unit. Ensure a secure connection.
- Position the Scale: Place the weighing platform on a firm, flat, and stable surface. Ensure there are no obstructions around the platform that could interfere with weighing. The remote display unit can be placed on a desk or mounted on a wall for convenience.
- Power On: Press the ON/OFF button on the display unit. The display will illuminate and perform a self-test, then show "0.00" or "0.0" indicating it is ready for use.

5. Operating Instructions
5.1. Power On/Off
- To turn on the scale, press the ON/OFF button.
- To turn off the scale, press and hold the ON/OFF button for a few seconds until the display turns off. The scale also features an automatic shutdown function to conserve battery power.
5.2. Weighing an Item
- Ensure the scale is powered on and displays "0.00" or "0.0". If not, press the ZERO button to reset it.
- Carefully place the item to be weighed in the center of the weighing platform.
- Wait for the display to stabilize. The weight will be shown on the LCD screen.
- Remove the item from the platform. The display should return to zero.
5.3. Changing Weight Units
The scale can display weight in pounds (lb), kilograms (kg), or pounds/ounces (lb/oz).
- Press the UNITS button to cycle through the available weight units. The selected unit will be indicated on the display.
5.4. Tare Function
The Tare function allows you to subtract the weight of a container, so only the net weight of the contents is measured.
- Place an empty container on the weighing platform. The display will show its weight.
- Press the TARE button. The display will reset to "0.00" (or "0.0"), indicating the container's weight has been tared out.
- Place the items to be weighed into the container. The display will now show only the weight of the items.
- To clear the Tare, remove the container from the platform and press the TARE button again.
5.5. Hold Function
The Hold function allows you to lock the displayed weight even after the item is removed from the platform.
- While an item is on the platform and the weight is stable, press the HOLD button. The weight will be locked on the display.
- You can now remove the item, and the weight will remain displayed.
- To release the Hold function, press the HOLD button again.
6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning
- Wipe the scale platform and display unit with a soft, damp cloth.
- Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish or electronic components.
