- Pull: Gently pull the top cap of the EZ SpeedClic mandrel upwards. This will release the locking mechanism.
- Place: Slide the desired sanding band (Grit 60 or Grit 120) onto the mandrel. Ensure it is seated properly.

5. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Dremel EZ SpeedClic Sanding Mandrel and bands, follow these maintenance tips:
- Cleaning: After each use, remove any dust or debris from the mandrel and sanding bands. A soft brush or compressed air can be used.
- Storage: Store the mandrel and unused sanding bands in a clean, dry place, away from moisture and direct sunlight.
- Sanding Band Replacement: Replace sanding bands when they become worn, clogged, or lose their abrasive effectiveness. The EZ SpeedClic system makes this process quick and easy.
- Mandrel Inspection: Periodically inspect the mandrel for any signs of wear, damage, or deformation. Replace if necessary to ensure safe operation.
6. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues while using your Dremel SC407 set, consider the following:
- Sanding Band Not Staying On: Ensure the EZ SpeedClic mandrel's top cap is fully pushed down and locked into place after attaching the sanding band.
- Poor Sanding Performance:
- Check if the sanding band is worn out and needs replacement.
- Verify that you are using the correct grit for the material and desired finish.
- Ensure your rotary tool is operating at an appropriate speed for the task.
- Excessive Vibration: Ensure the mandrel is properly seated and tightened in your rotary tool's collet. Check for any damage to the mandrel or sanding band.
