Setup and Assembly

Assembly requires attaching the four legs to the preassembled desktop. Two people are recommended for assembly.

1. Prepare the Desktop: Carefully place the desktop upside down on a clean, soft surface (e.g., a blanket or carpet) to prevent damage to the finish.
2. Attach the Legs:
   • Insert the provided dowel pins into the pre-drilled holes on the top of each leg. Apply a small amount of wood glue (if provided) into the dowel pin holes before insertion for added stability.
   • Align each leg with the corresponding corner of the desktop. Ensure the leg is flush with the desktop's edge.
   • Insert the screws with lock washers and washers through the pre-drilled holes in the desktop's side rails and into the top of each leg.
   • Using the provided Allen wrench, tighten all screws securely. Do not overtighten.
3. Verify Stability: With assistance, carefully turn the desk upright. Gently push on the desk from various angles to ensure it is stable and all connections are secure.

Operating Instructions

Drawer Functionality

The Ameriwood Home Parsons Desk features a single, discreet drawer for convenient storage of small office supplies. To open, gently pull the drawer front. To close, push until it is flush with the desk frame.

Weight Capacity

• Desktop: Maximum weight capacity is 150 lbs.
• Drawer: Maximum weight capacity is 6 lbs.

Maintenance
