6. Troubleshooting
If your heater is not functioning as expected, consult the following troubleshooting guide:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Heater does not turn on. | No power to the unit. | Check if the power cord is securely plugged into a live 120V outlet. Verify the outlet is functioning. Check the circuit breaker. |
| Only one heating element works (450W mode only). | Only one toggle switch is engaged. | Ensure both toggle switches are in the 'On' position for 900W operation. If one element consistently fails, it may require service. |
| Heater emits an unusual odor. | Dust accumulation on elements; new unit burn-off. | A slight odor is normal for new heaters during initial use. If persistent or strong, unplug the unit and clean it. Ensure proper ventilation. |
| Heater cycles on and off frequently. | Overheating protection activated. | Ensure adequate clearance around the heater. Unplug the unit, allow it to cool, and check for any obstructions. |
If troubleshooting steps do not resolve the issue, contact customer support for assistance.
