1. Important Safeguards

3. Setup
3.1 Initial Cleaning
- Remove all packing materials, stickers, and plastic bands from the coffee maker.
- Wash the permanent filter and travel mug in warm, soapy water. Rinse thoroughly and dry.
- Wipe the exterior of the coffee maker with a damp cloth.
3.2 First Use (Cleaning Cycle)
Before brewing coffee for the first time, it is recommended to run a cleaning cycle with water only.
- Fill the travel mug with water up to the 16-ounce mark.
- Pour the water into the water reservoir of the coffee maker.
- Place the empty travel mug on the drip tray.
- Press the power button to start the brewing cycle. The indicator light will illuminate.
- Allow the cycle to complete. The unit will automatically shut off.
- Discard the water from the travel mug. The coffee maker is now ready for use.
4. Operating Instructions
4.1 Brewing Coffee
- Prepare Coffee Grounds: Open the lid and remove the permanent filter. Add your desired amount of coffee grounds to the filter. For optimal flavor, use approximately 2 tablespoons of medium-grind coffee per 8 ounces of water. Do not overfill. Alternatively, place a pre-packaged soft pod into the filter basket.

- Add Water: Fill the travel mug with fresh, cold water up to the 16-ounce fill line. Pour the water into the water reservoir located at the top of the coffee maker. Do not exceed the maximum fill line.
- Position Mug: Place the empty travel mug (or another mug up to 7 inches tall) onto the drip tray, ensuring it is centered beneath the coffee dispenser.
- Start Brewing: Plug the coffee maker into a standard electrical outlet. Press the power button located on the side of the unit. The indicator light will illuminate, signaling that the brewing process has begun.

- Automatic Shutoff: The coffee maker will automatically turn off once the brewing cycle is complete. The indicator light will extinguish.
- Enjoy: Carefully remove the travel mug. The coffee is ready to drink.
Note: The brewing process typically takes approximately 2 minutes and 45 seconds for a full 16-ounce mug.
5. Maintenance and Cleaning
5.1 Daily Cleaning
- Permanent Filter: After each use, remove the permanent filter. Discard used coffee grounds. Rinse the filter thoroughly under running water.

- Travel Mug: Wash the travel mug and its lid with warm, soapy water after each use.
- Drip Tray: Remove and empty the drip tray. Wash it with warm, soapy water.
- Exterior: Wipe the exterior surfaces of the coffee maker with a damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads.
5.2 Descaling (Mineral Deposit Removal)
Mineral deposits (calcium) can build up in your coffee maker over time, affecting performance. Descale your coffee maker every 3 months, or more frequently if you have hard water.
- Fill the water reservoir with 1 part white vinegar and 1 part cold water.
- Place an empty mug on the drip tray.
- Press the power button to start a brewing cycle.
- After approximately half the solution has brewed through, press the power button to turn off the coffee maker.
- Allow the solution to soak in the coffee maker for at least 15 minutes.
- Press the power button again to complete the brewing cycle.
- Discard the vinegar solution.
- Run 2-3 cycles with fresh, cold water only to rinse out any remaining vinegar taste.
6. Troubleshooting
