6. Maintenance
6.1. Cleaning the Camera
- Camera Body: Wipe with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, slightly dampen the cloth with water and then wipe dry.
- Lens: Use a lens brush to remove dust, then gently wipe with a clean, dry microfiber lens cloth. For smudges, use a small amount of lens cleaning solution on the cloth, not directly on the lens.
- LCD Screen: Use a soft, dry microfiber cloth. Avoid pressing too hard.
6.2. Storage
When not in use, store the camera in a dry, dust-free environment, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Remove batteries if storing for an extended period to prevent leakage.
7. Troubleshooting
- Camera does not power on: Check if batteries are inserted correctly and are fully charged. Replace with new AA batteries if necessary.
- Poor image quality / blurry photos: Ensure the lens is clean. Hold the camera steady while shooting, especially when using high zoom levels. Use a tripod if possible. Check lighting conditions; use flash or adjust ISO if needed.
- Short battery life: Battery life can vary based on usage (e.g., frequent flash use, video recording, LCD brightness). Use high-quality alkaline or rechargeable AA batteries.
- Memory card error: Ensure the memory card is inserted correctly. Try formatting the card (this will erase all data) or use a different compatible SD card.
- Camera freezes: Remove and reinsert the batteries to reset the camera. If the issue persists, contact customer support.
