This manual provides detailed instructions for the installation, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your Elite Screens Manual B Series projector screen.
What's in the Box
Please verify that all components are present and undamaged before proceeding with installation.
- 100" Manual Pull-down B Series Projection Screen (16:9 Format; 49" H x 87" W View Size)
- Screen Lanyard for easy operation
- Mounting Kit (for wall or ceiling installation)

Setup and Installation
The Manual B Series screen is designed for fast and easy installation, supporting both wall and ceiling mounting options.
Choosing a Location
- Ensure the mounting surface (wall or ceiling) is structurally sound and can support the weight of the screen (approximately 15 pounds).
- Position the screen to optimize viewing angles and minimize ambient light interference. The MaxWhite material offers a 180° wide viewing angle.
- Consider the throw distance of your projector. This screen is NOT recommended for Ultra Short Throw or Short Throw Projectors.
Mounting Instructions
- Measure and Mark: Carefully measure the desired mounting points on your wall or ceiling. Use a level to ensure the screen will be perfectly horizontal.
- Drill Pilot Holes: Drill pilot holes at the marked locations, suitable for the provided mounting hardware.
- Secure Brackets/Screen: Attach the screen casing directly to the wall/ceiling using the provided mounting kit. Ensure all screws are tightened securely.
- Optional L-Brackets: If using optional 6" or 12" L-brackets (sold separately) for extended clearance, install them first, then attach the screen to the brackets.

Operating Instructions
The Manual B Series screen is designed for simple and reliable operation.
Extending the Screen
- Locate the screen lanyard or the pull-down handle at the bottom center of the screen.
- Gently pull the handle straight down. The screen will unroll smoothly.
- To engage the auto-lock mechanism, pull the screen down to the desired height and then release the handle. The screen will lock into place at 2-inch intervals.
- Ensure the screen is fully extended and locked before beginning your projection.
Retracting the Screen
- Gently pull the screen handle down approximately 1-2 inches.
- Release the handle slowly. The screen will retract smoothly and quietly into its casing thanks to the slow retract mechanism.
- Do not release the handle abruptly, as this can cause the screen to retract too quickly and potentially damage the mechanism.

Maintenance
Proper care and maintenance will ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your projector screen.
Cleaning the Screen Surface
- Use a soft, lint-free cloth to gently wipe the screen surface.
- For stubborn marks, dampen the cloth with mild soap and water. Do not use harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or excessive moisture.
- Always wipe in a horizontal direction, from one side to the other, to avoid streaks.
- Allow the screen to air dry completely before retracting it.
General Care
- Avoid touching the screen surface with bare hands to prevent oil transfer.
- Keep the screen retracted when not in use to protect it from dust and damage.
- Do not hang anything from the screen casing or pull handle.

This section addresses common issues you might encounter with your projector screen.
