Underwater Use
Important: Before submerging the camera, ensure the battery/SD card compartment door is completely and securely sealed. Failure to do so will result in water damage and void the warranty.
- The camera is waterproof up to 10 feet (3 meters).
- After each use in saltwater, rinse the camera with fresh water and dry thoroughly with a soft cloth.
- In bright sunlight underwater, the LCD screen may be difficult to see. Point and shoot, or practice to improve framing.
Maintenance
- Cleaning the Lens: Use a soft, lint-free cloth specifically designed for camera lenses. Do not use abrasive materials or harsh chemicals.
- Cleaning the Body: Wipe the camera body with a soft, damp cloth. For stubborn dirt, use a mild soap solution, then wipe with a clean, damp cloth and dry thoroughly.
- Battery Care: Remove batteries if the camera will not be used for an extended period. Use fresh, high-quality AAA batteries for optimal performance.
- Storage: Store the camera in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- Water Seal Inspection: Regularly inspect the rubber seal around the battery/SD card compartment for any signs of damage, dirt, or debris. A clean and intact seal is crucial for waterproof performance.
