2. Setup
2.1 Unboxing and Initial Inspection

2.2 Initial Cleaning

2.3 Blade Installation/Removal
The unit's interior features a 304 stainless steel pot with a blade. A blade removal tool is provided for easy cleaning.
- To Remove: Place the blade removal tool over the blade. Turn it clockwise until the blade detaches.
- To Install: Place the blade onto the central shaft. Place the blade removal tool over the blade and turn it counter-clockwise until it is securely fastened.

2.4 Power Connection and Safety
Connect the power cord to the unit and then to a standard AC 100V, 50/60Hz outlet. Ensure the lid is properly closed before operation. An 'E1' error indicates the lid is not securely fastened. Align the lid's protrusion with the handle for correct closure.
3. Operating Instructions
The Joyoung DJ08P-D33SG offers various preset cooking modes. Once the power is connected and the lid is securely closed, the menu panel will display the available modes.
3.1 Selecting a Mode
Press the 'Function' button repeatedly to cycle through the available modes. The selected mode icon will blink. After 5 seconds of inactivity, the unit will automatically start the selected program.

3.2 Soy Milk Mode
This mode is designed for making fresh soy milk. The process involves heating and blending soybeans to create a smooth beverage.
- Add soybeans (up to 2.5 measuring cups, approximately 50g) to the pot.
- Fill with water up to the 'MAX' line indicated inside the pot.
- Securely close the lid.
- Select the 'Soy Milk' mode using the 'Function' button.
- The unit will begin heating and blending. The process typically takes 25-26 minutes, reaching nearly 100°C.

3.3 Soup Mode
Prepare delicious soups with this mode. For example, a pumpkin miso soup:
- Add finely chopped vegetables (e.g., pumpkin, carrots) and other ingredients (e.g., mushrooms, miso paste) to the pot.
- Add water up to the desired level.
- Securely close the lid.
- Select the 'Soup' mode using the 'Function' button.
- The unit will cook and blend the ingredients into a smooth soup.
