Operating Instructions

The Saniaccess 3 pump operates automatically. When wastewater enters the unit, the internal macerating blades activate to liquefy waste and toilet paper, which is then pumped away through a small-diameter pipe to the main sewer line or septic tank. The system is designed for quiet and efficient operation.

The Saniaccess 3 is designed to handle human waste and toilet paper. To ensure proper operation and prevent damage, avoid flushing foreign objects such as:

  • Feminine hygiene products
  • Cotton balls, swabs, or pads
  • Wipes (even "flushable" ones)
  • Hair, dental floss, or similar materials
  • Chemicals or solvents
  • Grease or oil

Maintenance

The Saniaccess 3 is designed for easy maintenance with two accessible service panels. Always unplug the power cord before attempting any service or maintenance work.

  • Blade Compartment Access: The left access panel allows direct access to the macerating blade. This feature simplifies the removal of any foreign objects that may have accidentally entered the system.
  • Electrical Components Access: The right access panel provides access to the electrical components and level sensor, allowing for easy inspection or replacement of parts like the microswitch, starting capacitor, and membrane.

Troubleshooting

If you encounter issues with your Saniaccess 3 pump, please refer to the comprehensive troubleshooting guide in the full installation manual. Common issues and their potential solutions include:

  • Pump not activating: Check power supply, ensure the unit is plugged in, and inspect the level sensor for obstructions.
  • Pump running continuously: This may indicate a blockage or an issue with the level sensor. Unplug the unit and check for foreign objects in the blade compartment.
  • Unusual noises: Could be due to foreign objects caught in the macerator blades. Disconnect power and inspect the blade compartment.
  • Leaks: Inspect all connections and seals. Ensure proper pipe installation.

For complex issues or if you are unsure about performing a repair, it is highly recommended to contact SANIFLO customer support or a qualified plumber.
