Operating Instructions

Cooking Rice

  1. Measure Rice: Use the provided measuring cup to measure the desired amount of rice. One rice cooker cup is approximately 0.6 US cups (180ml).
  2. Wash Rice: Rinse the rice thoroughly under cold water until the water runs clear. This removes excess starch.
  3. Add to Pan: Place the washed rice into the inner cooking pan.
  4. Add Water: Fill the inner cooking pan with water up to the corresponding water level mark for the amount of rice you added. For example, if you added 5 cups of rice, fill water to the '5' mark. Adjust water level slightly based on desired rice texture.
  5. Place Pan: Place the inner cooking pan into the main unit, ensuring it sits flat and securely.
  6. Close Lid: Close the lid firmly until it locks.
  7. Plug In: Extend the retractable power cord and plug it into a 120V AC electrical outlet.
  8. Start Cooking: Press the 'COOK' switch down. The 'COOK' indicator light will illuminate.
  9. Automatic Keep Warm: Once cooking is complete, the switch will automatically flip up to the 'KEEP WARM' position, and the 'KEEP WARM' indicator light will illuminate. The rice cooker will keep the rice warm for up to 12 hours.
  10. Serve: Use the provided rice spatula to fluff and serve the rice. Avoid using metal utensils that could scratch the non-stick coating.

Using the Keep Warm Function

The rice cooker automatically switches to 'KEEP WARM' mode after cooking. You can also use this function to reheat previously cooked rice or keep other foods warm (ensure they are suitable for this function and do not exceed the pan's capacity).

  • To activate, ensure the unit is plugged in and the switch is in the 'KEEP WARM' position.
  • For best results, do not keep rice warm for more than 12 hours to maintain optimal taste and texture.

Maintenance and Cleaning

Regular cleaning ensures the longevity and performance of your rice cooker.

  1. Unplug and Cool: Always unplug the rice cooker from the power outlet and allow it to cool completely before cleaning.
  2. Inner Cooking Pan: Wash the non-stick inner cooking pan with warm water and mild dish soap. Use a soft sponge or cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or metal scrubbers, as they can damage the non-stick coating. Rinse thoroughly and dry completely.
  3. Detachable Inner Lid: Remove the inner lid and wash it with warm soapy water. Rinse and dry. Ensure all rice residue is removed from the seal.
  4. Main Unit Exterior: Wipe the exterior of the main unit with a damp cloth. Do not immerse the main unit in water or any other liquid.
  5. Condensation Collector: Empty and clean the condensation collector after each use. Wash with warm soapy water, rinse, and dry.
  6. Storage: Ensure all parts are completely dry before reassembling and storing the rice cooker. Store in a cool, dry place.
