Model: DT1050
1. Introduction
Thank you for choosing the DynaTrap DT1050SR Mosquito & Flying Insect Trap. This manual provides important information for the proper setup, operation, and maintenance of your device. Please read it thoroughly before use and retain it for future reference.
The DynaTrap DT1050SR is designed to attract and trap a wide range of flying insects, including mosquitoes, biting flies, house flies, moths, no-see-ums, June beetles, wasps, yellow jackets, stink bugs, gnats, and biting midges. It utilizes a 3-way protection system: a UV light, a titanium dioxide (TiO2) coated surface that produces carbon dioxide (CO2), and a powerful, whisper-quiet fan.

2. Safety Information
WARNING:
- Always unplug the trap before cleaning or performing any maintenance.
- Do not place the trap near flammable materials or in areas with excessive moisture.
- Keep out of reach of children and pets.
- Do not insert foreign objects into the trap.
- Use only with the provided power adapter.
3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your DynaTrap DT1050SR for optimal performance:
- Unpack: Carefully remove all components from the packaging. Ensure all parts are present and undamaged.
- Placement: For best results, place the trap 20-40 feet away from areas where people gather. This ensures that insects are drawn away from you. The trap is suitable for both indoor and outdoor use. Place it 3-6 feet above the ground.
- Power Connection: Plug the power cord into a suitable electrical outlet. The UV light will illuminate, and the fan will begin to operate.

How it Works: 3-Way Protection
- UV-Light Lamp: Lures flying insects to the trap.
- Irresistible CO2: The Titanium Dioxide coated surface produces carbon dioxide, an attractant for mosquitoes.
- Powerful Fan: Traps insects inside the retaining cage where they dehydrate and die, usually within 24 hours.

Breaking the Breeding Cycle
Continuous operation of the DynaTrap helps to break the insect breeding cycle over time, significantly reducing insect populations in your protected area.

Enhancing Catch Rate (Optional)
For increased mosquito catch rates, consider using an Atrakta mosquito lure (Model #100611) with your trap. Replace the lure every 60 days for optimal performance.

6. Troubleshooting
If you experience issues with your DynaTrap DT1050SR, please refer to the following common problems and solutions:
- Trap is not turning on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into both the trap and a working electrical outlet. Check if the outlet has power.
- Fan is not working: If the UV light is on but the fan is not, the fan motor may be faulty. Contact customer support.
- Low insect catch rate:
- Verify the trap's placement is 20-40 feet away from human activity.
- Check if the UV bulb needs replacement (every 4 months or 3,000 hours).
- Ensure the catch basket is not full, which can impede airflow.
- Consider using an Atrakta mosquito lure to enhance attraction.
- Insects escaping: This model does not have a trap door. If power is interrupted, trapped insects may escape. For models with a trap door feature, consider the DynaTrap XL.
