- Place the juice cup under the juice outlet and the pulp collection cup under the pulp outlet.
- Ensure the power switch is in the "OFF" position before plugging the juicer into a 120-volt electrical outlet.
5. Operating Instructions
Preparation of Ingredients:
- Wash all fruits and vegetables thoroughly.
- Cut ingredients into pieces small enough to fit into the feed chute. Remove any hard seeds, pits, or thick skins (e.g., pineapple skin, citrus peels).
- For leafy greens, roll them into a tight bundle before inserting.
Juicing Process:
- With the juicer properly assembled and cups in place, turn the power switch to the "ON" position. The juicer may have a brief pause before starting.
- Slowly feed the prepared ingredients into the feed chute. Use the pusher to gently guide the food down. Do not force ingredients into the chute, as this can strain the motor.
- The juicer will extract juice into the juice cup and expel pulp into the pulp collection cup.
- Operate the juicer for a maximum of 10 minutes continuously. If more juicing is needed, turn off the appliance and allow it to cool for 20 minutes before restarting.
- Once finished, turn the power switch to "OFF" and unplug the juicer.
Reverse Function:
If ingredients become jammed or the juicer stops, use the reverse function. Press and hold the "REV" button for a few seconds to dislodge the food. Release the button, then switch back to "ON" to resume juicing. This function also helps maximize juice extraction by clearing any stuck pulp.
6. Cleaning and Maintenance
Proper cleaning ensures the longevity and hygiene of your juicer.
- Unplug the juicer from the power outlet.
- Disassemble all removable parts: feed chute, auger, filter, juice cup, and pulp collection cup.
- Rinse all removable parts under running water immediately after use to prevent pulp from drying and sticking.
- Use the included cleaning brush to thoroughly clean the filter screen, as small fibers can easily get trapped.
- Wash all removable parts with warm, soapy water. Note: The juicer is NOT dishwasher safe. Hand wash only.
- Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth. Never immerse the motor base in water.
- Dry all parts completely before reassembling or storing.
7. Troubleshooting
- Juicer does not turn on: Ensure the power cord is securely plugged into a working outlet. Check that all parts are correctly assembled and locked into place. The juicer has safety features that prevent operation if not assembled correctly.
- Food is stuck or juicer stops during operation: Turn the juicer off, then use the "REV" (Reverse) function for a few seconds to dislodge the food. If the issue persists, disassemble, clean out any blockages, and reassemble. Ensure ingredients are cut into appropriate sizes.
- Excessive pulp in juice: Ensure the filter screen is clean and free of blockages. Some soft fruits may naturally produce more pulp.
- Pulp is wet: This can happen with very soft or watery ingredients. For harder ingredients, ensure they are fed slowly and consistently. The reverse function can sometimes help extract more juice from remaining pulp.
- Machine is noisy or vibrating excessively: Turn off the juicer immediately. Check for any foreign objects or improperly assembled parts. Ensure the juicer is on a stable, flat surface.
