Setup
- Unpacking: Carefully remove the SentrySafe 1200 from its packaging. Inspect the safe for any signs of damage.
- Locate Keys: The safe comes with two keys. These keys are typically attached to the handle or inside the safe. Keep one key in a secure, separate location as a backup.
- Initial Opening: Insert one of the provided keys into the keyhole on the front of the safe. Turn the key clockwise to unlock the lid.
- Placement: Choose a discreet and easily accessible location for your safe. While portable, consider a stable surface for storage.

Operating Instructions
- To Open: Insert the key into the lock and turn it clockwise. Lift the lid to open the safe.
- To Close and Lock: Ensure the contents are properly placed inside and the lid can close completely. Lower the lid firmly. Insert the key into the lock and turn it counter-clockwise to secure the safe. Remove the key.
- Transporting: Utilize the integrated carrying handle for easy and secure transport of the safe.

Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the exterior of the safe with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid abrasive cleaners or solvents.
- Key Care: Keep keys clean and dry. Do not force the key if it feels stiff; apply a small amount of graphite lubricant if necessary.
- Storage Environment: Store the safe in a dry place to prevent moisture buildup, although the product is not water-resistant.
Troubleshooting
- Key Lost: If both keys are lost, contact SentrySafe customer support for assistance. Ensure you have your model and serial number ready.
- Lid Not Closing Properly: Check for any obstructions inside the safe that might be preventing the lid from closing completely. Ensure the locking mechanism is clear.
