Setup

1. Powering the Unit

The DPR-25 can be powered by either the supplied AC adapter or batteries.

AC Power:

  1. Connect the supplied AC power adapter to the DC-in jack on the back of the radio.
  2. Plug the adapter into a standard wall outlet.

Battery Power:

For portable use, the radio requires 6 x C-size (UM-2) batteries (not included).

  1. Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the unit.
  2. Insert 6 C-size batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+ and -).
  3. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

Note: The DPR-25 features an integrated fast battery charger. If rechargeable C-size batteries are installed, they will charge automatically when the radio is connected to AC power.

2. Antenna

Extend the telescopic antenna fully for optimal DAB+ and FM radio reception.

Operating Instructions

1. Power On/Off

Press the ON/OFF button to turn the radio on or off.

2. Selecting Radio Mode (DAB+/FM)

Press the BAND button to switch between DAB+ (Digital Audio Broadcasting) and FM (Frequency Modulation) radio modes.

3. DAB+ Radio Operation

  1. Switch to DAB+ mode using the BAND button.
  2. For the first use or to find new stations, press the AUTO TUNE button to perform a full scan. The radio will search for and store all available DAB+ stations.
  3. Rotate the TUNING knob to browse through the list of available stations. Press the knob to select a station.
  4. Press the INFO button repeatedly to cycle through various information displays, such as program type, signal strength, and scrolling text.

4. FM Radio Operation

  1. Switch to FM mode using the BAND button.
  2. Press the AUTO TUNE button to automatically scan for the next available FM station.
  3. Alternatively, rotate the TUNING knob to manually adjust the frequency.
  4. If an RDS (Radio Data System) signal is available, press the INFO button to display information like station name or program details.

5. Setting and Recalling Presets

The radio allows you to store up to 10 favorite stations (5 DAB+ and 5 FM).

To Store a Preset:

  1. Tune to the desired DAB+ or FM station.
  2. Press and hold one of the Station Presets (1-5) buttons until the display confirms the station has been saved.

To Recall a Preset:

  1. Press the desired Station Presets (1-5) button briefly to tune to the stored station.

6. AUX Input

Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone) to the radio using a 3.5mm audio cable (not supplied).

  1. Connect one end of the 3.5mm audio cable to the AUX-in jack on the radio.
  2. Connect the other end to the headphone or line-out jack of your external audio device.
  3. Select the AUX input mode on the radio (refer to the display or BAND button if applicable).
  4. Adjust the volume on both the radio and your external device.

7. Headphone Use

For private listening, connect standard 3.5mm headphones to the headphone jack on the radio. The internal speakers will be muted automatically.

8. Voice Recording

The DPR-25 supports voice recording. Refer to the 'Advanced' menu or specific instructions in the full manual for details on how to initiate and manage recordings.

Maintenance
