Setup
1. Battery Installation
The Canon P23DHV requires four (4) AA batteries for operation. A low battery indicator will alert you when replacement is needed.
- Locate the battery compartment cover on the underside of the calculator.

2. Paper Roll Installation

- Alternatively, you can input two values (e.g., Cost and Margin) to calculate the third (Sell).
- Tax Calculation (TAX+, TAX-):
- First, set the tax rate using the RATE SET ITEM switch/button (refer to the calculator's specific markings).
- Enter the amount, then press TAX+ to add tax or TAX- to subtract tax.
- Memory Functions (M+, M-, M*, M=, MO):
- M+: Adds the displayed value to memory.
- M-: Subtracts the displayed value from memory.
- M*: (Memory Recall/Clear) Recalls the memory content. Pressing twice may clear memory.
- M=: Recalls the memory content and displays it.
- MO: Clears the memory content.
- Percentage (%±): Used for percentage calculations. Enter a number, then the percentage, and press %±.
- Feed (FEED): Advances the paper roll without printing.
- Print On/Off (PRT ON OFF switch): Toggle this switch to enable or disable the printing function.
- Decimal Selector (e.g., 4 5/4 7): Adjusts the number of decimal places for calculations.
- Rounding Selector (e.g., + 0 2 3 F): Selects the rounding method (e.g., round up, round down, cut-off).
- Clock & Calendar: The calculator features a built-in clock and calendar function. Refer to the display for time and date.
Maintenance
