Setup

1. Inserting the SIM Card and Battery

1. Ensure the device is powered off.
2. Remove the back cover by gently prying it from the bottom notch.
3. Locate the SIM card slot. Insert your GSM SIM card with the gold contacts facing down and the cut corner aligned correctly.
4. Insert the 1450 mAh Lithium-ion battery (J-S1) into its compartment, ensuring the contacts align.
5. Replace the back cover, pressing firmly until it clicks into place.

2. Initial Power On and Setup Wizard

1. Press and hold the Power/End Call button until the device vibrates and the BlackBerry logo appears.
2. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the initial setup, including language selection, date and time, and Wi-Fi network connection.
