Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Clarity D703 phone:
1. Battery Installation
- Remove the battery compartment cover on the back of the handset.
- Insert the two AAA rechargeable batteries, observing the correct polarity (+ and -).
- Replace the battery compartment cover.
2. Connecting the Base Unit
- Connect one end of the telephone line cord to the TEL LINE jack on the back of the base unit.
- Connect the other end of the telephone line cord to a telephone wall jack.
- Plug the small end of the AC power adapter into the DC IN 6V jack on the back of the base unit.
- Plug the large end of the AC power adapter into a standard electrical outlet.
Important: Use only the supplied AC power adapter and telephone line cord. Place the base unit near a power outlet and telephone jack.
3. Charging the Handset
Place the handset on the base unit with the display facing forward. The handset will emit a tone to confirm it is properly seated and charging. Allow the handset to charge for at least 12-16 hours before initial use to ensure optimal battery performance.
4. Initial Settings
After the initial charge, the handset may prompt you to set the date and time. Follow the on-screen instructions using the navigation buttons and the MENU/SELECT button.

Making and Receiving Calls
- To Make a Call: Press the TALK/FLASH button, then dial the number using the large keypad.
- To Receive a Call: When the phone rings, press the TALK/FLASH button.
- To End a Call: Press the END/CLEAR button or place the handset back on the base unit.
Volume Adjustment and Amplification
During a call, use the UP/DOWN arrow buttons on the handset to adjust the earpiece volume. For additional amplification, press the BOOST button located on the side of the handset. This feature significantly increases the incoming audio volume.
Speed Dial Programming
