How to Play
Objective
The goal of Monopoly Millionaires is to be the first player to accumulate a total of M1,000,000 (one million dollars) in cash and assets. Once a player reaches this amount, they win the game.
Gameplay Basics
- Starting the Game: The player who rolls the highest number on the dice goes first. Play proceeds clockwise.
- Player Turn: On your turn, roll both dice and move your mover clockwise around the board the corresponding number of spaces.
- Landing on Spaces: Follow the instructions on the space you land on. This may include:
- Properties: If you land on an unowned property, you may buy it for the price indicated. If you choose not to buy it, it goes up for auction. If you land on an owned property, you must pay rent to the owner.
- Fortune, Chance, or Millionaire Lifestyle: Draw the top card from the respective pile and follow its instructions. These cards can provide money, move you to different spaces, or introduce special events.
- Go: When you pass or land on 'GO', collect your salary (refer to the Game Guide for the amount).
- Jail: If you land on 'Go to Jail' or draw a card that sends you to Jail, move your mover directly to the Jail space.
- Other Spaces: Follow instructions for spaces like Free Parking, Just Visiting, etc.
- Building: Once you own all properties in a color set, you can start building Houses and then Hotels on them to increase the rent.
- Trading: Players can trade properties, money, and cards with each other at any time.

Upgrading Your Mover
As you progress and accumulate wealth, you can upgrade your mover. Each player starts with the smallest mover. When you reach certain wealth milestones (as indicated in the Game Guide or on your Reminder Card), you can swap your current mover for the next size up (medium, then large). Upgrading your mover may also increase your salary when passing 'GO'.
Maintenance
To ensure the longevity of your Monopoly Millionaires game, follow these simple maintenance tips:
- Storage: Always store the game components neatly in their designated slots within the box. Keep the box in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight or extreme temperatures to prevent warping or fading.
- Cleaning: If the game board or plastic components become dirty, gently wipe them with a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn marks, a slightly damp cloth can be used, but ensure components are completely dry before storing. Do not use harsh chemicals or abrasive cleaners.
- Card Care: Handle cards with clean, dry hands to prevent bending, tearing, or soiling. Consider using card sleeves for extra protection if desired.
Troubleshooting
Here are solutions to common issues you might encounter while playing Monopoly Millionaires:
- Missing Components: Double-check the box and packaging. If a component is genuinely missing, refer to the manufacturer's support information for replacement options.
- Rules Disputes: The Game Guide is the definitive source for all rules. In case of a disagreement, consult the guide. If the guide is unclear, players should agree on a house rule before continuing.
- Game Takes Too Long: Monopoly Millionaires is designed to be faster than traditional Monopoly. Ensure all players understand the objective of reaching M1,000,000 and are actively working towards it. Utilize the special cards to speed up gameplay.
- Money Management: If players are struggling with managing the money, ensure the Bank Tray is organized and that a designated banker is handling all transactions accurately.
