Operating Instructions
Trundle Bed Operation
The trundle bed is located beneath the full-size bottom bunk. To use, gently pull the trundle frame outwards from under the main bed frame. The trundle is designed to accommodate a standard twin-size mattress (not included) up to 7 inches thick. To store, simply push the trundle frame back into its position under the bed until it is fully recessed.
Storage Ladder Use
The integrated storage ladder provides safe access to the top bunk while offering convenient storage space. Each step of the ladder features a pull-out drawer. To open a drawer, grasp the handle and pull it outwards. To close, push the drawer back in until it is flush with the ladder frame. Ensure drawers are fully closed before climbing the ladder to prevent tripping hazards.
Maintenance
Regular maintenance will help preserve the appearance and structural integrity of your bunk bed. For general cleaning, wipe surfaces with a soft, damp cloth. Avoid using harsh chemicals, abrasive cleaners, or polishes that may damage the wood finish. Periodically check all bolts and screws to ensure they are tight and secure. Retighten as necessary to maintain stability and safety.
Ensure the area around the bed is kept clean and free of debris. For the trundle and storage drawers, keep the tracks clear to allow for smooth operation. Avoid overloading drawers to prevent damage to the slides and drawer bottoms.
Troubleshooting
- Squeaking Noises: If the bed makes squeaking noises, check all assembly bolts and screws. Tighten any that are loose. Ensure the bed is placed on a level surface.
- Drawers Sticking/Not Sliding Smoothly: Check the drawer tracks for any obstructions or debris. Ensure the drawers are properly aligned on their slides. If necessary, apply a small amount of silicone lubricant to the drawer slides.
- Wobbly Frame: A wobbly frame usually indicates loose connections. Re-check all bolts and nuts throughout the entire bed frame and tighten them securely. Ensure the bed is assembled correctly according to the manual.
- Damaged Parts: If any parts are damaged during shipping or assembly, do not attempt to force them. Contact customer support for replacement parts.
