3. Setup
Battery Installation:
The ARM601-4 digital torque wrench requires four (4) AAA batteries for operation. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity.
- Locate the battery cover on the handle of the torque wrench.
- Unscrew the retaining screws and carefully remove the battery cover.
- Insert four (4) AAA batteries into the battery holder, observing the correct positive (+) and negative (-) terminals.
- Place the battery holder back into the compartment.
- Replace the battery cover and secure it with the screws.

4. Operating Instructions
Powering On/Off:
- To power on, press the Power button. The LCD display will illuminate.
- The wrench will automatically shut off after 1 minute of inactivity to conserve battery life.
Setting Torque Values:
- Press the Mode button to select the desired operating mode (e.g., Torque setting mode).
- Use the UP and DOWN buttons to adjust the target torque value.
- Press the Unit / Torque Value Setting button to confirm the setting.
Changing Measurement Units:
Press the Unit / Torque Value Setting button to cycle through available units: ft-lbs, Nm, in-lb, kg-cm.
Operating Modes:
- Peak Mode: Records the maximum torque value applied during a tightening process.
- Trace Mode: Displays real-time torque values as they are applied.
Torque Application:
- Attach the appropriate socket to the 1/2" square drive.
- Position the wrench on the fastener.
- Apply steady force. The digital display will show the increasing torque value.
- As the set torque value is approached, the buzzer will emit a series of beeps, and the LED will flash. The frequency of beeps and flashes will increase as the target torque is neared.
- Once the target torque is reached, the buzzer will emit a continuous tone, and the LED will remain steadily lit. Stop applying force immediately.
