4. Setup

Follow these steps to set up your Bose Wave Radio III:

5. Operating Instructions

Your Wave Radio III is designed for ease of use. Most functions are controlled via the included remote control.

5.1. Basic Controls

  • Power On/Off: Press the ON/OFF button on the remote or gently tap the top of the unit.
  • Volume: Use the Volume Up () and Volume Down () buttons on the remote.
  • Mute: Press the MUTE button on the remote.
  • Snooze: When an alarm sounds, gently tap the top of the unit or press the SLEEP/SNOOZE button on the remote.

5.2. Radio Operation (FM/AM)

  • Select Band: Press the FM or AM button on the remote.

  • Preset Stations: Store up to six FM and six AM stations using the PRESET STATIONS 1-6 buttons. To store a station, tune to the desired station, then press and hold a preset button (1-6) until you hear a beep. To recall a preset, simply press the corresponding preset button.

5.3. CD Player Operation

If your model includes a CD player (optional accessory), insert a CD into the slot located on the front of the unit. Use the CD button on the remote to select the CD source. Playback controls (Play/Pause, Stop, Skip Track) are available on the remote.

5.4. Auxiliary Input

Connect an external audio device (e.g., MP3 player, older smartphone) to the AUX IN port on the back of the unit using a 3.5mm audio cable. Press the AUX button on the remote to select this source.
