- Recommended for children aged 36 months and above.
- Maximum speed is approximately 5 km/h.
- Always ensure the child wears appropriate safety gear, including a helmet.
- Operate only on flat, dry surfaces away from traffic, swimming pools, or steep inclines. Note: The plastic wheels may have reduced traction on smooth surfaces like tiles.
- The vehicle does not have a separate brake. Releasing the accelerator pedal will cause the vehicle to stop.
- Keep hands, hair, and clothing away from moving parts.
- Do not modify the electrical system. Alterations can cause fire or electric shock.
3. Assembly
The Smoby X Power 33049 is largely pre-assembled. Minimal assembly may be required for certain components such as the handlebars or wheels. Refer to the included pictorial guide for detailed steps. A second person may be helpful during handlebar installation.
- Ensure all parts are present before beginning assembly.
- Tighten all screws and fasteners securely. Do not overtighten.
- Check all connections before first use.
4. Setup and Charging
4.1 Initial Battery Charge
Before first use, the battery must be fully charged. This typically takes approximately 7 hours. It is recommended to charge the battery overnight.
- Locate the charging port, usually found under the seat or near the battery compartment.
- Connect the charger to the charging port, then plug the charger into a standard wall outlet.
- Do not overcharge the battery. Disconnect the charger once the charging indicator shows a full charge or after the recommended charging time.
- The charging access for the battery can be difficult to reach; plan charging accordingly.
4.2 Pre-Operation Check
- Ensure all nuts and bolts are tight.
- Check tire pressure (if applicable, for plastic wheels, ensure they are securely attached).
- Verify that the accelerator pedal functions correctly and the vehicle stops when released.
5. Operating Instructions
5.1 Starting the Vehicle
To start the Smoby X Power, ensure the power switch (if present) is in the "ON" position. The vehicle is operated by a foot pedal.
5.2 Acceleration and Steering
- Press the foot pedal to accelerate. The vehicle will move forward.
- Steer using the handlebars. The steering mechanism may feel wobbly; this is normal for the design.
- The vehicle does not have a reverse gear. To change direction, the child must dismount and reposition the quad.
5.3 Stopping the Vehicle
Release the foot pedal to stop the vehicle. The motor acts as a brake, bringing the quad to a halt.
