3. Setup
Follow these steps to set up your Kinter MA170 amplifier:
3.1. Power Connection
The MA170 requires a 12V DC power supply. Ensure the power supply has a 2.1 mm x 5.5 mm DC plug with center positive polarity. Connect the power supply to the DC 12V input port on the rear of the amplifier.
3.2. Audio Input
Connect your audio source (e.g., MP3 player, smartphone, PC, DVD player) to the RCA input jacks (L/R) on the rear of the amplifier. Use appropriate RCA cables for this connection.
3.3. Speaker Output
Connect your speakers to the speaker output terminals on the rear of the amplifier. The MA170 supports speakers with an impedance of 4-16 ohms. Ensure correct polarity (positive to positive, negative to negative) for each speaker. The amplifier provides 2 x 18 watts per channel.

6. Maintenance
To ensure the longevity and optimal performance of your Kinter MA170 amplifier, follow these maintenance guidelines:
- Keep the amplifier clean by wiping it with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid using liquid cleaners or solvents.
- Ensure proper ventilation around the unit to prevent overheating. Do not block the heat sink fins.
- Avoid exposing the amplifier to extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, high humidity, or dusty environments.
- Disconnect the power supply when the amplifier is not in use for extended periods.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues with your Kinter MA170 amplifier, refer to the following common troubleshooting steps:
- No Power: Ensure the 12V DC power supply is correctly connected and functioning. Check the power outlet.
- No Sound: Verify that the audio input cables are securely connected to both the source and the amplifier. Check speaker wire connections for correct polarity and ensure they are firmly inserted into the terminals. Confirm the volume knob is turned up and the audio source is playing.
- Distorted Sound: Reduce the volume level on both the amplifier and the audio source. Check speaker impedance to ensure it is within the recommended 4-16 ohms range. Inspect speaker wires for any fraying or short circuits.
- Intermittent Sound: Check all cable connections for looseness. Ensure the power supply is stable and providing consistent voltage.
If the problem persists after attempting these steps, please refer to the support information in the next section.
