Koolance Exos-2 V2 Water Cooling System Instruction Manual

Model: EX2-755

1. Introduction

The Koolance Exos-2 V2 is an external liquid cooling system designed to efficiently dissipate heat from computer components. This manual provides essential information for the safe and correct installation, operation, and maintenance of your Exos-2 V2 unit. Please read all instructions thoroughly before use.

2. Safety Information

  • Always disconnect the power supply from the Exos-2 V2 unit and your computer before performing any installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.
  • Ensure all tubing connections are secure to prevent leaks. Leaks can cause damage to electronic components.
  • Use only approved coolant specifically designed for computer liquid cooling systems. Do not use tap water or automotive coolants.
  • Do not operate the unit if any part is damaged or if there are visible leaks.
  • Keep the unit away from direct sunlight, high temperatures, and excessive humidity.
  • This product is intended for use with personal computers. Do not use for other applications.

3. Package Contents

Verify that all components are present and undamaged before proceeding with installation. The package should typically include:

  • Koolance Exos-2 V2 External Liquid Cooling System
  • Power Adapter
  • Tubing and Connectors
  • PCI Pass-Through Bracket (for internal tubing routing)
  • Coolant (may be sold separately)
  • User Manual (this document)

4. Setup and Installation

Follow these steps to properly set up your Koolance Exos-2 V2 system.

4.1. Unit Placement

Place the Exos-2 V2 unit on a stable, level surface near your computer. Ensure adequate airflow around the unit, especially around the fan vents.

4.2. Tubing Connection

  1. Install the PCI pass-through bracket into an available PCI slot on your computer's rear panel. This bracket allows the tubing to pass from the inside of your computer to the external Exos-2 V2 unit.
  2. Connect one end of the tubing to the "OUT" port on the Exos-2 V2 unit and route it through the PCI pass-through bracket into your computer. Connect the other end to the inlet of your CPU/GPU water block.
  3. Connect the second tube from the outlet of your CPU/GPU water block, route it back through the PCI pass-through bracket, and connect it to the "IN" port on the Exos-2 V2 unit.
  4. Ensure all connections are finger-tight and secure. Do not overtighten.

4.3. Filling the System

  1. Unscrew the fill port cap located on the top of the Exos-2 V2 unit.
  2. Slowly pour approved coolant into the reservoir until it is nearly full. Do not overfill.
  3. Replace the fill port cap securely.
  4. Before powering on your computer, connect the Exos-2 V2 power adapter to the unit and a wall outlet. Allow the pump to run for several minutes to circulate coolant and remove air bubbles. You may need to tilt the unit gently to help release trapped air.
  5. Monitor the coolant level and top up if necessary after the initial circulation.
  6. Inspect all connections for any signs of leaks before powering on your computer.

6. Maintenance

  • Coolant Level Check: Periodically check the coolant level in the reservoir (visible through the fill port or a dedicated window). Top up with approved coolant as needed.
  • Coolant Replacement: It is recommended to replace the coolant every 6-12 months, depending on usage and coolant type, to prevent algae growth and corrosion.
  • Dust Cleaning: Regularly clean dust from the radiator fins and fan blades using compressed air or a soft brush to maintain optimal cooling performance. Ensure the unit is powered off before cleaning.
  • Leak Inspection: Periodically inspect all tubing and connections for any signs of leaks or wear. Address any issues immediately.

7. Troubleshooting
