4. Setup
Follow these steps to assemble your racetrack:
- Choose a Location: Select a flat, stable surface for assembly. The track requires a building dimension of approximately 192 cm x 60 cm (75.6 inches x 23.6 inches).
- Assemble Track Sections: Connect the track pieces by aligning the connectors and pressing them firmly together until they click into place. Refer to the included layout diagram for the recommended track configuration, including straights, curves, looping, and fly over sections.
- Install Track Supports: Attach the provided track supports to elevated sections like the looping and fly over to ensure stability.
- Connect Power: Insert the connecting bar track section into the layout. Connect the transformer to the connecting bar and plug the transformer into a suitable electrical outlet.
- Connect Speed Controllers: Plug the two speed controllers into the designated ports on the connecting bar.
- Place Barriers: Attach track barriers to the outside of curves and other critical areas to help prevent cars from derailing.
5. Operating Instructions
Once the track is fully assembled and powered, you are ready to race:
- Place Cars: Carefully place the Red Bull RB7 vehicles onto the track, ensuring the guide pin on the bottom of each car is correctly seated in the track slot.
- Start Racing: Use the speed controllers to accelerate your car. Press the trigger to increase speed and release to slow down.
- Control Speed: Learn to modulate your speed, especially around curves and through the looping section, to prevent cars from flying off the track. Too much speed on curves or too little speed in the loop can cause derailments.
- Lap Counter: The integrated lap counter will automatically register each completed lap for both cars.

6. Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and performance of your set:
- Track Cleaning: Periodically wipe down the track rails with a clean, dry, lint-free cloth to remove dust and debris, which can affect electrical conductivity.
- Car Maintenance: Check the car's guide pins and braids (electrical contacts) for wear. Replace worn braids as needed to maintain good electrical contact with the track. Ensure wheels are free of hair or lint.
- Storage: When not in use, store the track and cars in a clean, dry place, away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. Disassemble the track if long-term storage is required.
7. Troubleshooting
If you encounter issues, try these solutions:
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Car does not move or moves intermittently. | No power, poor track connection, worn car braids, debris on track. | Ensure transformer is plugged in and power is on. Check all track connections are secure. Clean track rails. Check and replace car braids if worn. |
| Car flies off the track frequently. | Excessive speed, worn tires, track misalignment. | Reduce speed, especially on curves. Check car tires for wear. Ensure track pieces are perfectly aligned and flat. |
| Lap counter not registering. | Car not passing over sensor correctly, sensor dirty. | Ensure car passes fully over the lap counter sensor. Clean the sensor area. |
