Safety Information
WARNING: Always read and understand all safety warnings, instructions, illustrations, and specifications provided with this power tool. Failure to follow all instructions listed below may result in electric shock, fire, and/or serious injury.
- Always wear eye protection and hearing protection when operating power tools.
- Keep work area clean and well lit. Cluttered or dark areas invite accidents.
- Do not operate power tools in explosive atmospheres, such as in the presence of flammable liquids, gases, or dust.
- Keep children and bystanders away while operating a power tool. Distractions can cause you to lose control.
- Ensure the power cord is in good condition and positioned to avoid tripping hazards or contact with the blade.
- Always unplug the saw before making any adjustments, changing accessories, or storing the tool.
- Use clamps or another practical way to secure and support the workpiece to a stable platform. Holding the work by hand or against your body is unstable and may lead to loss of control.
Setup
Blade Installation and Removal
Your DEWALT DWE575SB circular saw comes with a 7-1/4 inch carbide-tipped blade. Always ensure the saw is unplugged before attempting to install or remove the blade.
- Press and hold the blade lock button to prevent the blade from rotating.
- Use the included blade wrench (stored on the tool) to loosen the arbor nut by turning it counter-clockwise.
- Lift the lower blade guard and carefully remove the old blade.
- Place the new blade onto the arbor, ensuring the teeth are pointing in the direction of rotation indicated by the arrow on the saw's guard.
- Secure the arbor nut by turning it clockwise with the blade wrench while holding the blade lock button. Do not overtighten.

Depth Adjustment
Adjusting the cutting depth is crucial for safe and efficient operation. The blade should extend approximately 1/8 inch (3 mm) below the workpiece.
- Loosen the depth adjustment lever located at the rear of the saw.
- Raise or lower the shoe to achieve the desired cutting depth. Refer to the depth gauge markings.
- Tighten the depth adjustment lever securely.
Bevel Adjustment
The saw allows for bevel cuts up to 57 degrees, with positive stops at 22.5 and 45 degrees.
- Loosen the bevel adjustment lever at the front of the saw.
- Tilt the shoe to the desired angle, aligning with the bevel scale.
- Tighten the bevel adjustment lever securely.

Operating Instructions
General Cutting
Before starting any cut, ensure the workpiece is securely clamped and the blade is clear of any obstructions. Maintain a firm grip on both handles of the saw.
- Plug the saw into a suitable power outlet.
- Align the saw's base plate with your cut line.
- Depress the trigger switch to start the saw, allowing the blade to reach full speed before contacting the workpiece.
- Slowly push the saw forward through the material, maintaining a steady pace. Avoid forcing the saw, as this can lead to kickback or damage.
- The integrated dust blower will help keep the cut line visible.
- Once the cut is complete, release the trigger and allow the blade to stop completely before lifting the saw from the workpiece. The electric brake will stop the blade quickly.

Dust Blower Feature
The integrated dust blower directs sawdust away from the cut line, enhancing visibility and accuracy during operation.

Electric Brake
The electric brake feature stops the blade quickly after the trigger is released, increasing safety and reducing downtime between cuts.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and optimal performance of your circular saw.
- Cleaning: Keep the saw clean and free of sawdust and debris. Use a dry cloth to wipe down the exterior. Periodically use compressed air to clear dust from the motor vents.
- Blade Care: Ensure the blade is sharp and free of damage. A dull or damaged blade can cause kickback and poor cut quality. Replace blades as needed.
- Cord Protection: The patented Tough Cord protection system provides enhanced durability against cord pull-out. Regularly inspect the power cord for any signs of damage, cuts, or fraying. Replace damaged cords immediately.

Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Saw does not start | No power supply; Damaged cord; Faulty switch | Check power outlet/circuit breaker; Inspect cord for damage; Contact service center. |
| Poor cut quality / Saw binds | Dull or incorrect blade; Improper depth/bevel setting; Forcing the saw | Replace/sharpen blade; Adjust depth/bevel correctly; Reduce feed rate. |
| Excessive vibration | Loose blade; Damaged blade; Worn bearings | Tighten arbor nut; Replace blade; Contact service center. |
