Introduction
This manual provides essential information for the safe and efficient operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of your XtremepowerUS Automatic Pool Cleaner Vacuum. This device is designed to clean your swimming pool automatically by attaching to your existing filtration system.
Safety Information
- Always disconnect the pool cleaner from the filtration system before performing any maintenance or cleaning.
- Ensure the pool pump is off before connecting or disconnecting the cleaner.
- Keep children and pets away from the pool area when the cleaner is in operation.
- Do not operate the cleaner if any parts are damaged or missing.
- Refer to your pool pump's manual for specific safety guidelines related to its operation with a suction-side cleaner.
Components Overview
Your XtremepowerUS Automatic Pool Cleaner Vacuum includes the following main components:

Figure 1: All components of the XtremepowerUS Automatic Pool Cleaner Vacuum.
- Cleaner Head: The main unit that moves across the pool surface and suctions debris.
- Hose Sections: Multiple flexible hose segments that connect the cleaner head to the filtration system.
- Regulator Valve: Used to control water flow and suction power.
- Hose Weights: Used to keep the hose submerged.
- Connectors/Adapters: For connecting hose sections and attaching to the pool's skimmer or dedicated suction line.

Setup
- Assemble the Cleaner Head: Attach any necessary components to the cleaner head as per the diagram. Ensure all connections are secure.
- Connect Hose Sections: Connect the provided hose sections together. The total length of the hose should be sufficient to reach all areas of your pool, plus one extra section to allow for movement.
- Attach Regulator Valve: Connect the regulator valve to one end of the assembled hose.
- Submerge Hose: Slowly feed the hose into the pool, allowing it to fill with water and sink. This removes air from the hose, which is crucial for proper operation.
- Connect to Filtration System: Once the hose is fully submerged and filled with water, connect the regulator valve end of the hose to your pool's skimmer or dedicated suction line.
- Adjust Regulator Valve: Turn on your pool pump. Adjust the regulator valve to achieve optimal suction. The cleaner should move steadily across the pool floor without getting stuck or moving too slowly. Refer to the "Operating Instructions" section for more details on adjusting suction.

Operating Instructions
The XtremepowerUS Automatic Pool Cleaner operates by utilizing the suction from your pool's filtration system. It moves randomly across the pool floor, collecting debris into your pool's filter.
Initial Operation
- Ensure the pool pump is running and the cleaner is properly connected and submerged.
- Observe the cleaner's movement. It should move consistently across the pool floor. If it moves too fast or too slow, adjust the regulator valve.
- The cleaner is designed to clean the pool floor and lower walls. It may not clean steps or very shallow areas.
Optimizing Performance
- Suction Adjustment: The ideal suction allows the cleaner to move at a moderate pace. Too much suction can cause it to stick to the bottom or climb walls excessively. Too little suction will result in slow movement and inefficient cleaning. Adjust the regulator valve gradually until optimal movement is achieved.
- Hose Length: Ensure the hose length is appropriate for your pool size. An excessively long hose can cause tangling, while a too-short hose will limit the cleaner's reach.
- Debris Removal: Regularly empty your pool's skimmer basket and pump basket to maintain optimal suction and prevent clogging.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance ensures the longevity and efficiency of your pool cleaner.
- Clean Filter Baskets: Regularly check and empty your pool's skimmer and pump filter baskets. A clogged basket reduces suction and cleaner performance.
- Inspect Cleaner Head: Periodically inspect the cleaner head for any debris caught in the diaphragm or pleated seal. Remove any obstructions.
- Check Hoses: Inspect hose sections for cracks, leaks, or blockages. Replace damaged sections as needed.
- Storage: When not in use for extended periods, store the cleaner and hoses in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.
- Cleaning: Wipe the cleaner with damp cloths as needed to remove dirt and grime.
Troubleshooting
| Problem | Possible Cause | Solution |
|---|---|---|
| Cleaner not moving or moving slowly | Insufficient suction; Clogged filter baskets; Air in hose; Obstruction in cleaner | Check pump and filter; Empty baskets; Remove air from hose; Clear obstructions from cleaner head |
| Cleaner getting stuck | Hose too long; Suction too high; Pool steps/obstacles | Adjust hose length; Reduce suction with regulator valve; Manually clean problem areas |
| Cleaner not picking up debris | Insufficient suction; Worn pleated seal; Large debris | Increase suction; Inspect/replace pleated seal; Manually remove large debris |
