Maintenance
- Cleaning: Wipe the scale with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners, solvents, or harsh chemicals, as these can damage the finish and electronic components. Avoid getting water inside the unit.
- Storage: Store the scale in a dry, cool place away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures. If storing for an extended period, remove the batteries to prevent leakage.
- Battery Replacement: When the battery indicator appears on the display, replace both AAA batteries promptly to ensure accurate readings and proper operation.
Troubleshooting
- Scale does not turn on:
- Check battery installation. Ensure batteries are inserted with correct polarity and are fully charged. Replace batteries if necessary. Ensure battery contacts are clean and free from corrosion.
- Inaccurate readings:
- Ensure the scale is suspended stably and not swinging. Verify the load is not touching any other surfaces. Check if the scale has been overloaded. Perform a tare operation before weighing.
- Scale turns off unexpectedly:
- This may be due to the 3-minute auto-off feature if no activity is detected. If it turns off during active weighing, check battery contact and ensure batteries are securely seated and not loose.
- Display shows "O-Ld" or similar:
- This indicates an overload condition. Remove the load immediately to prevent damage to the scale. Do not exceed the 300 kg / 600 lbs capacity.
