Setup

  1. Connect Power: Plug the small end of the power adapter into the DC IN jack on the back of the answering system. Plug the large end into a standard electrical outlet.
  2. Connect Telephone Line: Plug one end of the telephone line cord into the TEL LINE jack on the back of the answering system. Plug the other end into a telephone wall jack.
  3. Set Time and Day:
    • Press the CLOCK/RELOJ button.
    • Follow the voice prompts to set the current time (hour and minute) and day of the week. Use the VOLUME buttons to adjust values and CLOCK/RELOJ to confirm.
  4. Record Outgoing Announcement (OGM):
    • Press and hold the ANNOUNCE/SKIP button until you hear a beep.
    • Speak clearly into the microphone (small hole on the front left) to record your message.
    • Press ANNOUNCE/SKIP again to stop recording. The system will play back your announcement.
    • Alternatively, you can use the default announcement provided by the system.
  5. Set Number of Rings:
    • Press the SETUP/CONFIGURAR button.
    • Follow voice prompts to adjust the number of rings before the answering system picks up.

Operating Instructions

Playing Messages

  1. Play All Messages: Press the PLAY/PAUSE button. Messages will play in the order they were received, with time and day stamps.
  2. Skip Message: During playback, press ANNOUNCE/SKIP to skip to the next message.
  3. Repeat Message: During playback, press MEMO/REPEAT to repeat the current message. Press twice to go back to the previous message.
  4. Adjust Volume: Use the VOLUME up/down buttons during playback to adjust the speaker volume.

Deleting Messages

  • Delete Current Message: During playback of a message, press the DELETE/BORRAR button.
  • Delete All Old Messages: When the system is idle (not playing messages), press and hold the DELETE/BORRAR button until you hear a confirmation tone. This will delete all previously listened-to messages.

Recording a Memo

  • Press and hold the MEMO/REPEAT button until you hear a beep.
  • Speak your memo into the microphone.
  • Press MEMO/REPEAT again to stop recording.

Remote Access

  1. Call Your Answering System: From any touch-tone phone, dial your home phone number.
  2. Access Messages: When you hear your outgoing announcement, press the remote access code (default is usually 00 or 11, refer to the full owner's manual for specific code setup).
  3. Remote Commands: Use the phone's keypad to control playback, delete messages, or change your outgoing announcement. Common commands include:
    • 1: Play messages
    • 2: Skip message
    • 3: Delete message
    • 4: Record new outgoing announcement
    • 5: Stop/Pause
    • 8: Repeat message
    • *: End call
  4. Toll Saver Feature: This feature can be enabled in setup. It causes the machine to answer on the second ring if there are new messages, or on the fourth ring if there are no new messages. This allows you to hang up before the fourth ring if no messages are present, saving long-distance charges.

Maintenance

  • Cleaning: Wipe the unit with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use abrasive cleaners or solvents.
  • Power Supply: Ensure the power adapter is securely connected. In case of power outage, Message Guard memory protects your messages.
  • Placement: Place the unit on a stable, flat surface away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and excessive moisture.

Troubleshooting
