1. Introduction

This manual provides instructions for the setup, operation, and maintenance of your Cherry MW 3000 Wireless Mouse. The MW 3000 is a right-handed wireless mouse designed for comfortable and precise cursor control, featuring a 2.4 GHz wireless connection and adjustable DPI settings.

2. Package Contents

3. Setup

3.1. Inserting Batteries

  1. Locate the battery compartment on the underside of the mouse.
  2. Open the battery compartment cover.
  3. Insert the two AAA batteries, ensuring correct polarity (+/-).
  4. Close the battery compartment cover securely.

3.2. Connecting the USB Receiver

  1. Remove the Nano USB receiver from its storage slot, typically located within the battery compartment or near it.
  2. Plug the Nano USB receiver into an available USB port on your computer.
  3. The operating system will automatically detect and install the necessary drivers. This is a plug-and-play device, requiring no additional software installation.

4. Operating the Mouse

4.1. Basic Functions

The Cherry MW 3000 features 5 buttons and a scroll wheel:

  • Left Click Button: Primary selection and activation.
  • Right Click Button: Accesses context menus.
  • Scroll Wheel: Scrolls documents and web pages vertically. Can also be pressed for middle-click functionality.
  • Forward/Backward Buttons: Located on the side, these buttons facilitate navigation in web browsers and file explorers.

4.2. DPI Adjustment

The mouse features an infrared optical sensor with adjustable resolution (DPI - Dots Per Inch). You can switch between two DPI settings:

  • 1000 DPI: Standard sensitivity for general use.
  • 1750 DPI: Higher sensitivity for faster cursor movement.

To switch DPI, press the dedicated DPI button located on the top of the mouse, usually below the scroll wheel. The change is immediate.

4.3. On/Off Switch

To conserve battery life, an on/off switch is located on the underside of the mouse. Turn the mouse off when not in use, especially during transport or extended periods of inactivity.

5. Maintenance

5.1. Battery Replacement

When the mouse performance degrades or the indicator light (if present) signals low battery, replace the AAA batteries. Follow the steps in Section 3.1 for battery insertion.

5.2. Cleaning

To clean the mouse, use a soft, dry cloth. For stubborn dirt, a slightly damp cloth can be used, ensuring no moisture enters the internal components. Avoid harsh chemicals or abrasive materials.
