4. Setup

4.1 Charging the Units

  1. Connect the power adapter to the baby unit and plug it into a wall outlet. The baby unit must remain plugged in for operation.
  2. Insert the rechargeable batteries into the parent units. Connect the power adapters to the parent units and plug them into wall outlets. Charge for at least 12 hours before first use.
  3. The parent units can operate on battery power for up to 16 hours on a single charge, or continuously when plugged in.

4.2 Positioning the Units

  • Place the baby unit at least 3 feet (1 meter) away from your baby to prevent strangulation hazards from the power cord.
  • Ensure the baby unit is within range of the parent units (up to 1,000 feet outdoors, less indoors depending on obstructions).
  • Avoid placing units near other electronic devices that may cause interference.

5. Operating Instructions

5.1 Power On/Off

  • Press and hold the POWER button on both the baby unit and parent units to turn them on or off.

5.2 Adjusting Volume

  • On the parent unit, use the VOLUME UP and VOLUME DOWN buttons to adjust the listening level. There are 5 volume levels.
  • The 5-level LED sound indicators on the parent unit will visually show the sound intensity from the baby's room.

5.3 Two-Way Talk-Back

  • Press and hold the TALK button on the side of the parent unit to speak to your baby through the baby unit. Release the button to listen.

5.4 Night Light Control

  • On the baby unit, press the LIGHT button to turn the night light on or off.
  • Alternatively, you can remotely control the night light from the parent unit via the menu options.

5.5 VOX (Voice Activated Transmission)

  • Access the menu on the parent unit to adjust the VOX sensitivity level (Lowest, Low, Medium, High, Highest).
  • Higher sensitivity means the parent unit will transmit sound for quieter noises.

5.6 Vibrating Alert

  • The parent unit can be set to vibrate when sound is detected, providing a silent alert. This feature is accessible through the parent unit's menu.

6. Maintenance

  • Clean the monitor units with a soft, damp cloth. Do not use cleaning sprays or solvents.
  • Ensure the units are dry before plugging them in.
  • Do not immerse the units in water. The product has an IP44 waterproof rating, meaning it is protected against solid objects over 1mm and splashing water.
  • Store the monitor in a cool, dry place when not in use for extended periods.

7. Troubleshooting

7.1 No Link / Out of Range

  • Ensure both baby and parent units are powered on and charged.
  • Move the parent unit closer to the baby unit.
  • Relocate the units to avoid interference from other electronic devices.

7.2 Static or Interference

  • Move the units away from other electronic devices (e.g., cordless phones, Wi-Fi routers, microwaves).
  • Adjust the position of the units.

7.3 Parent Unit Battery Drains Quickly

  • Ensure the parent unit is fully charged (12 hours for first charge).
  • Reduce the VOX sensitivity level to conserve battery life.
  • If the battery life significantly decreases over time, the rechargeable battery may need replacement.
