The U.S. Solid 3/4" Brass Electric Solenoid Valve is a high-quality, normally closed valve designed for controlling the flow of various non-potable liquids and gases. Constructed from industrial-grade brass, it offers excellent corrosion resistance and is suitable for higher temperature applications. This valve is equipped with a durable VITON seal, ensuring reliable performance with substances like gasoline, diesel fuel, kerosene oil, natural gas, and air.
It is important to note that due to the chemical composition of brass, this valve is NOT recommended for use with drinking water or other potable water systems.

Safety Information
- Always disconnect power before installation, maintenance, or troubleshooting.

- This valve is designed for non-potable water, air, diesel, gasoline, kerosene oil, and natural gas. DO NOT use with drinking water.

Setup and Installation
Pre-Installation Checklist:
- Verify that the valve's specifications (voltage, pressure, media compatibility) match your application requirements.
- Ensure the power supply is disconnected before beginning installation.
- Gather necessary tools: pipe wrench, thread sealant (PTFE tape or pipe dope), wire strippers, screwdriver.
Installation Steps:
- Identify Flow Direction: Locate the arrow stamped on the brass body of the valve. This arrow indicates the correct direction of fluid flow. Installing the valve against the flow direction will cause it to operate as normally-open instead of normally-closed and may affect performance.

- Apply Thread Sealant: Apply an appropriate thread sealant (e.g., PTFE tape or pipe dope) to the male pipe threads that will connect to the valve's inlet and outlet ports. This ensures a leak-free connection.

- Connect Piping: Carefully thread the pipes into the 3/4" FNPT inlet and outlet ports of the valve. Tighten securely with a pipe wrench, but do not overtighten, which could damage the threads or valve body.
- Electrical Connection: Connect the valve's electrical wires to your 110V AC power supply. Ensure connections are secure and insulated. Proper grounding is essential for safety.
- Test for Leaks: After installation, slowly introduce the media into the system and check all connections for leaks. Address any leaks before full operation.
Operating Instructions
The U.S. Solid Solenoid Valve is a normally closed valve, meaning it remains closed (no flow) when de-energized and opens (allows flow) when energized with 110V AC power.
- Activation: Apply 110V AC power to the valve's electrical leads to open the valve.
- Deactivation: Remove 110V AC power from the valve to close it.
- Response Time: The valve is highly responsive, opening and closing in less than 1 second.
- Duty Cycle: This valve is designed for intermittent use. DO NOT operate continuously for more than 8 hours in a single cycle. Prolonged continuous operation can lead to overheating of the solenoid coil and premature failure. If continuous duty is required, consider a U.S. Solid Motorized Ball Valve.

Maintenance
Regular maintenance helps ensure the longevity and reliable operation of your solenoid valve.
- Periodic Inspection: Regularly inspect the valve for any signs of leaks, corrosion, or damage to the electrical wiring.
- Cleaning: If the valve experiences leaks or reduced performance due to accumulated impurities, it can be disassembled and thoroughly cleaned.
- Disconnect power and depressurize the system.
- Carefully disassemble the valve, noting the position of all components (e.g., plunger, spring, seals).
- Clean all internal components, especially the plunger and valve seat, to remove any debris or mineral deposits.
- Inspect the VITON seal for wear or damage. Replace if necessary.
- Reassemble the valve, ensuring all parts are correctly seated.
- Test for leaks after reassembly.
- Seal Replacement: The VITON seal is designed for durability but may eventually require replacement depending on usage and media.
